| Easy Wake Up Musical Alarm Clock This is a Widows-only application. Description: "You program the clock with the (latest) time you want to wake up. About an hour before wake up time, the clock starts playing music softly at a very low volume. Music volume increases very slowly during the next hour. This ensures that you are not wakened suddenly from a deep sleep. It gives your brain time to reach a lighter phase of sleep before waking up." Is there a Mac one for this? Alarm Clock 2 by Robbie Hanson (Mac only) has a time limit of 14 minutes for "easy wake", and that is still too abrupt. But even if there was, I wouldn't want to have my computer on all night (waste of energy). There is an iPhone app that senses your movements and wakes you up when you are in light sleep: How to attach iPhone | EasyWakeup - Le réveil-matin intelligent pour iPhone ...but you have to attach it to your body for it to work. If someone (Steve?) could create iPhone app that plays a music from silence to quite loud over a period of 1 hour or so, tons of time could be saved.

In addition you edit another MP3 to be 10 minutes blank time. Now you create a playlist that contains the blank mp3 8*6=48 times for 8 hours of sleep and add the MP3 that gets progressively louder at the end.

Using playlist to play increasing volume would be inefficient because you would have to start playing it at the same every night to wake up on the same time.

Hi Lupe, I got your message. I'm not an iPhone programmer but I bet you could find someone at Rentacoder.com who could make it. You may also find more information here: iPhone Dev Center - Apple Developer Connection Hope this helps. |
