Default The most effective success method you ever tried

Hello,
I do not intend to find the "perfect" method for success-I just want to read personal experiences.
The last weeks I spend my time with reading Steve´s articles and searching this forum.
Most ideas make a lot of sense to me,but my internet addiction is my biggest problem and reading all this articles over and over just leads to procrastination.
What were you biggest self-growth experiences and how did you achieve them?
What is your personal insider tip for an unlucky fellow?

Find your passion and do something with it! That will motivate you to keep going and do the other less pleasant things!

I have a "to do" list that I usually keep in my head but if I have a lot to do then I will actually write it down. This method's really helped me because in the past I'd often flit between goals and often end up only half finishing things.

Now I start my day and work through my list, I get a lot more done and I do it better too! This might be a good one for you to try coffegirl, write down a list of things you want to get done tomorrow and avoid distractions until they are done.

I've also had a great deal of personal success with hypnosis. I used to have a great deal of trouble sleeping, both in the actual process of falling asleep and during sleep itself. Now I go through a little hypnotic script I've got memorized and my sleep has greatly improved. I've had a little help with this one though since my brother's a hypnotherapist.

Getting partners with similar goals.

You hold each other to a higher standard than you would on your own, it's INFINITELY more fun and you are forced to take action even when you don't feel like it.

Notable examples in my life:
  1. Golf: 4 handicap. Only because of the people I was playing with.
  2. Gym: found a gym partner and gained 1 stone in muscle in 3 months
  3. Meeting women: had a couple of friends with similar goals. We pushed each other outside our comfort zones.

Qualities in partners:
  1. They MUST be motivated to improve, not just turn up.
  2. Similar standard, or possibly slightly better.
  3. Workable logistics.

Get this taken care of and success is automatic.

My biggest self growth experience is when i learned the results of persistence in what i do with my blog and with my life
My personal insider tip would be for you to focus on what you enjoy about your life and what you would want to improve and take action to improve it

I'm with Plato: Finding partners with the same goal is a great success tactic. I have a friend who goes to the gym with me three mornings per week...without her, I probably wouldn't go at all. And once a week, I have a "boot camp day" with a writer friend of mine: Every hour, we call one another to discuss what we got done in the last hour and what we plan to do in the next hour. Boot camp days are my most productive days.

Good thread.

For me, it is definitely consistency. The human mind simply continues to adapt as long as it lives. Results are slow, and most quit trying when they're just about to make major progress. Read Mastery by George Leonard.

Hey CoffeGirl , I just have three simple steps and I personally name them The Big Three..
Very simple as it sounds success will be in you hands if you follow them persistently....

Here We Go...
1. Know What You Really Want...
Learn more about yourself, find out what is your true desire and hold to it.

2. Take Authority for Your Thoughts and Actions
Be Responsible for who you are. Once you have set in your mind what you really want, work on it persistently, keep on working on it until you get it. There is a saying " If you want to get something, do not get back until you get it"

3. Turn Obstacles into Miracles
Every action gives and opposite reaction, this is the law. Therefore every time you face any obstacles, be happy and do not be afraid of it, use it to the maximum for your growth and purpose.

I believe success will be in your hands if you follow these steps...

I Wish You a great Success

For me, the best method I've found, is to get up and start doing something real. It's easy to procrastinate in front of a computer, but harder in real life, especially with a schedule.

Thumbs up

I've found that yolking-around with the "Like-minded"
(in my case God/Jesus), plus my life's companion,
perpetually adds-up to the best Success-method I've ever found.
