Hello, I'm currently applying for a job on campus. They ask for a letter of interest. It's a web designer job. What is a "letter of interest" ? Any advice on how to write a good one? Thanks

Letter of Interest - Prospecting Letter Oddly, it sounds as if you already know about a specific job, but there you go. It's just a formal, written letter that says, "Hey, here's who I am. I am interested in a position. You got one for me?"

This sounds like a cover letter. Basically you should say why you want the job and why you would be suitable for the job, pointing out anything on your resume/CV that addresses any specific job requirements mentioned in the ad. It should make the potential employer want to read you resume in more depth. Doesn't need to be complicated, a couple of paragraphs at most. Many examples available around the web.
