Yep you heard me. Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow. And in this post i invite you to post something you did related to personal development. A day were you don't grow, is a day were you don't live. So i have decided to write this post, for me to keep track of my growth. But because i'm a generous guy and i love y'all, i decided it would be more interesting if everyone posted, once a day, once a week or even once a month something that they did to grow. It will give others plenty of ideas on what they can do in order to grow. Who's with me on this one? |

I am working through "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and incorporating some ideas into my everyday life. I am helping my girlfriend grow by sharing my learnings with her. I was laid off about six weeks ago and for about the last two weeks I have been working hard on developing content for a blog on inspiration and building a website/blog about college football (Michigan Wolverines)!

The ego likes to "inch" along - because it feels it's "doing" something. Why have an interest at all in tomorrow? Tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow doesn't exist. The opportunity for work and growth is only in today. And today is just an unfolding series of moments. The ego will kick and scream and do everything it can to take our focus off the moment. It will put our focus on the past, on the future, on imaginary problems we're creating - on anything - to remove us from focusing on this moment. Because here - in this moment - is a level of power that scares the pants off the ego. And it's also a place where the ego can not enter. Sometimes doing no-thing is exactly what's needed towards making a better today. We can all get busy busy in a flurry of activities, and "inch" towards improvement. Or we can allow things to be as they are, and then, from that place, move from a deeper understanding, and then actually by "doing" less we stop "inching" towards our own actualization - and begin moving at rates in terms of light-year speeds. |

| Senior Member | I recently read words like this in The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle. Then I noticed that he sells a calendar: Amazon.com: The Power of Now 2008 Calendar |

50% improvement every day? i wanna hear more about that. This is a quote, that i read on an inspirational quote site, and since i was thinking for a title for my post, and it just about matched, i decided to use it. But as you can see 7hours of my day are commited to stuff that doesn't "need" to be done. Today I planned my workouts, instead of justing lifting weights like a morron. i worked out. i did a few hours of basketball. A couple of hours of revisions for an exam which i will take on friday 20minutes meditation and that's all for today. |

Sam, This may sound crazy, but I start each day by reading the Bible. Interestingly, I find many personal development concepts there.....just worded differently. After I read and reflect, I have goals I review along with progress. One of my current goals is to work on my new Website. I purposely created it to help document my ongoing self improvement and motivation efforts. Kim Self Improvement and Motivation Fuel My Motivation.com |

So far I wrote a brand new blog entry, posted it on my blog, and then posted a bit on these forums. This all makes me feel amazing, actually; I love writing and immersing myself in creative work, I love sharing what I know, I love connecting with people. Win-win-win! I expect the feeling to last all day. |

Hi All, Ive been lacking on taking consistent action and whining about why things dont work. My goal is to work on taking consistent action. Based on the article posted by Henrik Edberg, I am going to take action based on following pointers: How to Take Consistent Action: 7 Powerful Tips 1. Use a morning ritual. 2. Do things even if you dont like it. 3. Dont hurt yourself. 4. Focus on and take the responsibility for the process, not the potential results. 5. Find and do what you love or like to do. 6. Let go of old self images. 7. Use reminders in your environment. |

Today I got some drawing done, which was nice. I'm trying to do at least a little every day. On the downside, though, I started playing video games again and even went on 4chan for a bit. Those are things I've been trying to cut out of my life so I have more room for my art. So, this evening: More art, and some meditation. |

@Pinki I love that Henrik article! There's also this article about Morning Habits: 6 Habits to Start the Day With | The Kaizan Blog By the way, I want to keep reading every day. I got this book from Amazon yesterday about people making comebacks, and it was rubbish! Need to find a better book to read. Any suggestions? |

Hi something shocked me in one of the posts. This just doesn't sound powerful. Try choosing the right words. "my goal is to take consistent action" is more powerful, and even more powerful is " i'm commited to take consistent action" Ones words can be very powerful if chosen correctly. Otherwise today: 2h30 of Cycling 50 minutes of lifting weights 1h30 of revising, for the exam, which takes place in 2 days. 20minutes meditation. I thought about buyin "get the edge, from tony robbins" I ordered "the game" by neil strauss, after reading about Plato's post on the personal development gurus that afected his life. I read 40 pages of the mystery method. And now i'm going to listen to some Tony robbins tracks that i never got around to listening. |

I invested in my spirituality, thinking of what personal growth is and what does it mean to grow. I tried to make a couple of folks in this forum a better day and I greeted a forum member. Small things count, right? I tried to get better at games. Small things count, right?

Yeah small things count. Kaybe, thinking about reading the bible isn't crazy, but actually readin it is. A few months back, i started reading the bible for personal development ideas. Because i can't argue with it, some stuff in the bible is worth gold. Just religion makes me ill, so this ain't for me. |

Yesterday all i did was sport. 2h bike ride. 25minute run. 45 minute upper body workout. 30min swimming. 45min basketball. Today, i plan on getting Tony robbins get the edge. Does any one know, if what's proposed in get the edge is any differant than what's in personal power two? I guess it is,but i'm just wondering if it isn't the same just compressed into 7days? |
