I keep wondering about introverts and extroverts and their source of motivation. Its commonly said that introverts are internally motivated while extroverts are externally motivated. Does that mean that introverts are more inclined to be Darkworkers (focused on helping the self primarily) while extroverts are more inclined to be Lightworkers (focusing on helping others)?

No, It cannot mean that because that is a generalization and if you check you will find that some persons who are extroverted as you defined do so mostly to promote their own interest in a selfish way, while some persons who are introverted are busy helping others most of the time. It is best to be specific and to take each person individually, since the generalization of introvert-extrovert consist of numerous complexities. Or even cite one or more case studies. |

The extrovert/introvert aspects of personality tests have more to do with where you look for your inspiration, information, and your opinions and relevence, for lack of a better word. It doesn't have to do with whether you are an introverted or extroverted person, insofar as one's social personality. Shy vs life of the party. I don't think it would have much impact on the statistics of light vs darkworking. Jennifer |
