Really.... How do you know when you have provided value in your blog articles? I have done my 8th article, and have kept on updated each one, improving each one throughout - However is there no way I can see what I am providing is value or not? I have asked people, but I get responses as "good" and "great!!" and even "englightening" but still I feel I am doing something wrong (besides the articles being on the very low end, I was aiming to increasing the quality of my writing before increasing the quantity of my articles on my website). Any advice would be appreciated for the highest good of all.... Site name: Humancure.com - |

If you are providing unique content that can't be found anywhere else on the web your adding value. Put your own spin on things. Be sure to let your personality shine though and make your site uniquely you. Why should I read your blog? What information can you give me that no one else can? What experience can you share that I can't read anywhere else?

thank you - helps me a bit on how to get about things - only just started off properly - had a huge learning curve to get to this point. Focusing on writing style and value of content - I want every sentence in the entire website to mean something valuable, just like Steve does, more or less |

I agree with Lovelyn, that having your own unique voice is essential, and that's my current focus - just letting myself come through. I think of it like a book you would pay for: If you can supply that level of content for free, then that is the value. I've started writing articles myself. I'm beginning to find it more of a personal learning experience than I would have expected, because I feel like writing is pulling out more information than I was consciously aware of before. Also, I've found it to be amazingly enjoyable - that hasn't always been the case. When it wasn't the case, I think the value suffered, so I've come to equate the level of my enjoyment in creating with the value of the creation itself. Much Aloha and best of luck, Simon |

The attention shouldn't be on the act of writing itself but on the content. A good salesperson doesn't hear after his presention from his customer: "Hey that was a great sales presentation." Instead the customer buys. | |

Some questions you might ask yourself, sel206: Are you writing honestly? Are you writing from experience? What's up with the two comments in this article? Heh, that was my brother and a friend I showed it to - I asked for comments and they instead left actual comments - my brother leaving the weirdest of the comments - Yes, that is my aim, to write from experience and honestly. Do you think there is something not too honest about the site? or the tone it is written in? Brutha - Yes, that is true - I have only shown people of certain types, and they are not exactly my target market as they are not informed enough and/or just simply not interested in the topic - I am very aware of not falling in love with the writing, but the actual content - I think of just that when I write - Maybe some articles still need improvement, which I do regularly. I've gained very good insight from sites whose content I love to read. Steve provides his own unique spin on his articles and his personality shines through. I believe that we each have our own unique experiences, along with passion, that can help us right quality content people want. Keep writing and gaining insight. You can tell if your visitors find value in your information, because they will tell you what they got out of it. Kim Self Improvement and Motivation |

Don't expect instant success or popularity. Keep working at it. Gradually it will develoop and attract attention. Don't give up easily but don't feel that all those articles on instant success applies to you. Even when doing the exact same thing and using the same methods some of us do not get the same luck. It is not all what you do because providence alsohas to open to you, and you may have to be patient to find your slot. |

Yeah I think I need to keep at it - I gained some good insight from posting this question here because I see that I might have written one or two articles in a hurry and added too many affiliate links to make it seem like I am only there to advertise products, when in reality, I simply want to make money from providing value. I think the end all is to stay very focused. The article "10 Ways to naturally thicken your hair" actually comes from personal experience and was totally not intended as a "sales pitch" but I do see where you were coming from when you said is it really written from honest stand point or just to make money... SOOOO MUCH to improve on, so little time... it definitely is a steady progress - hmm cant believe I spelt "Quality" wrong as the whole title of this thread was on quality! lol ops... hehe |
