There's nothing better out there than Eye of the Tiger. Nothing, I tell ya!

| I have to agree. It was done by a band called Survivor. It is worth it to get their greatest hit tape. 80% of the songs on it are real chargers.

It depends on what you consider to be motivational, but I'll take a shot at it. These may be more inspirational than motivational, but I suppose the two are related. I can also recommend The Terminator theme. Star Wars has some great music too. While I'm in sci-fi -- Star Trek: The Next Generation opening theme is good, and also Babylon 5 opening theme. I linked to Amazon samples of some of these. |

If your looking for some killer music, try Hans Zimmer - "The Wings of a Film" CD. Hans Zimmer performed in his first public concert ever featuring his film works at the Flanders International Film Festival. "Thunderbird" from the movie Thelma and Louise is my personal favorite... its usually cranked up while driving... but the others are just as good. The Gladiator soundtracks are on it and the accompanying orchestra and amazing vocals make this CD one for the ages.

Rock Anthem to Save the World - from the Halo soundtrack The game was okay, fairly good fun, but the score was just incredible. The main theme is good as well if you can get ahold of it. |

Here are a bunch of songs that always get me in a good mood: Train - I'm About To Come Alive Vienna Teng - Harbor Sarah McLachlan - Hold On Turin Brakes - Red Moon Peter Gabriel - Red Rain <shameless plug> Whenever I can't find the right kind of motivational music, I'll just write it myself: Jim Offerman Band - This Is Me Jim Offerman Band - Hold On To Your Dreams The first one helped me overcome my low self-esteem and the second one kept me sane while my entire world came crashing down around me. You can check them out here, if you like. </shameless plug> cheers, Jim.

Check this out: Enya Now We Are Free Gladiator Soundtrack Video It's not Enya as claimed in the clip, but it's one of the Gladiator songs from the "On The Wings of a Movie" CD I mentioned in an earlier post.

Hi All, I would have to say 'I'm Still Standing' by Elton John. |

well, this will be different for everybody - depends on what motivates you? What gets you going? For me it's got to be Metallica S&M (especially the into) and played very loudly. I actually keep a playlist of songs that gets me fired up. It's amazing how memories gets stored and associated to music. I figured that I might as well use it...and it works!

For good workout motivation, I often listen to really extreme metal. Slipknot, The Haunted, older Pantera etc. Sometimes Dragonforce works well also. Basically these are not cheerful happy songs (duh), but instead pure audio anger that always works to get my heart pumping, and make me push a little harder, ride a little longer, and remind me to not accept a half-assed effort in anything I do. |

| There is a twofold meaning of the Lyrics of this song. 1 The sci-fi stuff is just metaphoric to describe something great. Venus is the goddess of Love. Maybe we'll comeback to earth could mean: Who knows if this love lasts forever. 2. The song was about the Challenger blowing up in 1986, hence the space theme and it being "The Final Countdown." Anyway this song is fantastic.
