Tony Robbins once said that difference between what human beings are capable of and what they actually accomplish is dramatic. It really becomes apparent when you compare a person who has everything and doesn’t succeed and a person who has absolutely nothing and performs at levels far beyond what anybody thinks he’s capable of. So what causes this gap? It’s pretty simple. It’s a simple belief in the concept of peak performance. The person who has nothing has realized that there is a power in extremes. If you can be this poor or this much of a failure, then it has to be possible to have the other extreme too. The problem with person who has everything is that his or reality is defined by what is currently possible. If we stay within the bounds of what is currently possible, then we always will be in the bounds of what is currently possible. Once you realize the Limitless power of imagination, you can chose to visualize the impossible, and eventually it will become possible. So, why don’t we get past the gap? In his recent Blog post on creative visualization insights, Steve Martile gave a great example. He said that people visualize what they think is possible, so their isn’t much emotion behind it. When you visualize far beyond what you think you’re capable of, then you get emotion behind it. Interesting that you’re actually succeed more with the Law of Attraction if you picture something far beyond where you are today, then somewhere inside the gap. So, dismiss all limits and visualize the greatest possibilities for your life. |
