Default Week Trial - Agreements with Myself

Hi, everyone. I actually feel embarrassed about posting this (even though this post is entirely anonymous). In general, I am good about following through with promises to other people. On the other hand, I often break agreements with myself - could be simple things like taking a social break (yes, even this!), going to bed at a certain hour, not watching TV, etc. I'm not sure why this is, but I'm getting tired of it. I will come back here to post updates throughout the week.

Why are you embarrassed? This is something that happens to all of us.

Maybe you need to reevaluate why you're making these agreements. Either find more meaning in them to give yourself more incentive, or don't be so hard on yourself and just let them go.

Default Quick Update

Hi, everyone. I had some successes last week. I was able to get myself to bed earlier than usual (before 12 a.m., around 11:30 p.m.) for two or three of the nights. What a difference going to bed earlier makes! Last Friday evening I was worn out and made a spontaneous decision to go see the new Star Trek movie. It was great that I gave myself the night off. I was thoroughly entertained by the movie and enjoyed chilling out at the nearby bookstore afterwards. I think that it's good to let myself take a real break. Watching TV doesn't really count for me because I'm still going to be home.

Anyway, that's all that I can write for now. More work awaits ...
