Hi, I have tried and failed to do 30 day trials in the past. Even something simple, like "Make Your Bed Every Day," doesn't seem to work for me. I'll usually fall down on about the sixth or seventh day. Sometimes even the second! How did you come to do something for 30 days in a row? |

Did you post any of your 30 day trials online such as on this forum or a personal blog maybe?, I find posting online motivates me to carry on as I feel somehow there is an audience out there that can clearly see my progress (posted evidence of progress) or failures (documented failures or just not maintaining the thread) this makes it harder to say "oh well i'll forget today..no one will know" Give it a go if you haven't already, if you have then maybe someone else can give some other ideas as I myself am just getting into the trials / posting scene myself (loving it though!) |

Apollo put up a great tip, when you are observed by others, even on a forum, you are more motivated. Another thing you can do is concentrate on the reward, you clearly set a reward right? And make it worth what you have to do. Oh and don't start your trial with failure in mind, it'll only make it worse. Good luck |

dont worry......its just start. if you miss some days, try to pick up on the later days..but complete 30 days. compare the whole schdule...you would feel better and will be motiavted for next task. most important- dont get guilt inside. Its very harmful. |

I find that positive trials work better for me than negative ones. You should also know your motivation to do the trial in the first place. What is the reason you do that? What do you expect? This Steve's article may help: Habit Change Is Like Chess As others already said, exposing your trial to others helps a great deal as well. |
