My next youtube video will be exactly about that, so if you want in-detail explanation, do not miss it out, I will publish it in 5 days! (My youtube channel is in my signature).

These are the steps you can use:

1.Go back to your childhood and remember what statements your parents/teachers/other authority figures used to make.

2.Write them down and read them aloud - if you get a negative feeling in response with a statement - it means you have just uncovered a limiting belief.

3. Think about it and acknowledge that this is only an opinion of some person and you do not have to keep it. Understand that your parents used to repeat such statements because they were taught this way by their parents.

4.Completely forget your parents/teachers for instilling such statements into your subconscious mind.

5. Congratulations! You have just dissolved a limiting belief!

Generally I work on figuring out my current b elefs and putting them in a sentence or two which captures them exactly and resonates with me. Then I just have the choice whether to choose a differnet one or not. Here's some posts I've written on that process:

Default sounds easy

What if you can't remember anything particular that was ever said to you? I know I have negative self beliefs but only when applied to working or having a career but I can't pinpoint anything that was ever said to me to make me feel this way. I've even tried to think if I was brought up in a negative environment when it comes to expectations of women and that is a possibility but I still can't pinpoint anything in particular.

To add to the helpful suggestions above, other Forum-ites have successfully eliminated their less helpful beliefs using processes like EFT, NLP, TAT, affirmations and Byron Katie's The Work (to name a few). A Search of the Fora will turn up those success stories for you.

Others here have used EFT and Byron Katie's The Work successfully in these situations where the root cause of the no-longer-useful beliefs are not obvious.

I used the phrase "no longer useful" because it's been my experience that we adopt our beliefs to serve us (to protect us, to make sense of the world, to win approval of another, to name a few). No matter what technique you choose, I would strongly suggest you examine whether you still get any benefit from holding the belief in question, otherwise you will working against yourself. A simple (honest) dialogue with yourself is all that's necessary for such an examination.

If you do discover a benefit, I'm sure you'll come up with a strategy to provide yourself with that benefit without the negative consequences of the old belief. You could even ask that internal part of you that "benefits" if it might be willing to consider an alternative to the old belief, if only for a short period of time. (You "both" can always decide, if it's better for you, to go back to the old belief after the experiment.)

I hope this extra step will make your use of all these techniques much more effective, long-lasting and positive for you.

Default Self Hynotism

Work on the subconscious. That is where transformation can occur where we dont fight it. Get into a trance and give yourself positive suggestions.
