Default Empowering Paradigms

If you have an empowering paradigm, I'd like to hear it. This started about seeking paradigm shifts, but realized anything empowering would be good. I was reading 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Covey speaks of a Paradigm shift influencing geometric growth.

I've experienced this from not working, to getting a job. As well as how I viewed suicide. There was a point in my life when depression influenced me to thinking this way, but then I decided, if I wanted to end my life, then I could end this form of my life and do something or everything different. Thus making suicide in another form. Living is where the possibilities dwell. I no longer entertain these thoughts, no matter what happens.

What are paradigms that made dramatic changes in your life? How did you use to view Life, People, Relationships, Trust, Hate, Love, Sex, Work, Play, Time, Money, even Change itself, etc. How do you view them now that created a positive impact on your life and world, and or those around you.
