Default I'm doing the right thing.. right?

Hello--

A while back ago I posted a thread regarding my desires to go to cosmetology school and leave my university. I am currently a junior age 21, on the five year plan (graduation may 2011). My thoughts and visions of going to cosmetology school have constantly been entering my mind and I think I am finally going to listen to them and take action.

My Plan:
1. Finish this semester which will be done in May
2. Move back home and work in the summer to save money
3. Start Beauty School in September ( 10 month program )
4. Finish in July 2010
5. Nail a job at a high end salon and work my way up!
6. Save up money to continue finishing my degree in Business Marketing
7. Be happy and successful

Anyways thats the plan, I have been known to change my mind a lot, mostly because I am scared to leave my college and friends behind and the fear of maybe never going back to get my degree.

Does this plan sound like a good idea?

It sounds like a sound plan to me, but I would make one change.

I would move number seven to number one. If you decide you will not be happy or successful until all the six previous steps are complete, then you may find the whole process difficult and taxing.

Learn to be happy now, with where you are, and it will be so much easier to accomplish your dream, and you will get there faster. Be happy while you are on your way there. Happiness is a set of skills and behaviors, not a set of achievements.

Congratulations on finding your passion.
