Default Brainwave Entrainment - Free Relaxation MP3

I've seen the subject of brainwave entrainment come up on these forums a number of times. It's always an interesting subject, one which more and more people are discovering. I don't know how many people here have tried brainwave entrainment, but I wanted to give you all the opportunity to try it out. I've put together a basic entrainment MP3 file that you may all download for free, I have made this available through Brainwave-Sync, I hope you don't mind the name dropping. It's about 10minutes long so gives enough of a chance to see what the fuss is about without investing too much time.

For those that are new to the subject, brainwave entrainment is a method of using audio (or light) to induce the brain into certain desired states, such as relaxation, sleep, meditation and many other things. How this works is pretty simple; the human brain at any given time is full of many different brainwave 'frequencies' - when we listen to a repeating sound for a certain amount of time - our brains enter what is known as a 'frequency following response' - in short our brain follows the frequency set by the audio you are listening to.

I've personally had a lot of great experiences with brainwave entrainment. Some of them have been very life changing - and I may write about a few of them soon, if people are interested.

The brainwave entrainment MP3 I am making available for download is set to the 'Alpha' frequency. What this means is that it is very good for relaxation. You can listen to it at your computer, though it will probably work better if you can find a nice spot to sit and close your eyes in.

Click here to download the free Alpha MP3 Brainwave file.

Hope you enjoy it - and please let me know your thoughts!!

Standard Disclaimer Gumph: Do not drive or use heavy machinery whilst listening to this audio. Brainwave Entrainment is very safe. However do not listen to the audio if you suffer from epilepsy, or are pregnant. Seek advice before using the MP3 if you have any medical conditions. If you have any doubts about using this audio then do not use it.

Well I made the MP3 myself, so I am not entirely unbiased. But yes it is good, and it works well...though 10mins is perhaps a little short.

jnms - I was extremely skeptic.. I tend to get more annoyed by this type of music than anything. Especially when there's the sound of birds repeating all the time. (which did in fact get to me after a while) But it does make you feel relaxed. I want more

Brainwave entertainment is a term in which a lot of different techniques fall.
What is your mp3 doing exactly?

Talking about this in terms of “bad news” or “bad judgment by business leaders” seems archaic. It’s like describing World War One as “a serious diplomatic concern.”

Thanks for the comments.

Zerox, I am glad you found that the MP3 worked for you. I understand what you mean about the bird sounds though, maybe I will make another version without the birds...

Brutha, the MP3 uses Isochronic Tones, starting at the beta frequency, and moving in incremental downward ramps into a deep alpha frequency of around 8hz.

Ok sorry. I assumed that because I explained in the first post what it did, that Brutha must have been asking for a technical explanation.

From my first post:

I think I ramble too much, and don't get to the point quick enough so I can understand why it would have been missed...
