Default why removing limiting belief cannot bring abundance

i turst completely in the intention manifestation with effortlessness by the law of attraction. i have some confusion for which i do not any solution so i am asking from you. Bruce Lipton and Gregg Braden and all the other personnel development guru says that if you have the empowering beliefs than the success is effortless. because you behave or act according to the belief.

we are basically act from the subconscious mind. the subconscious mind has to do 98% of things and our conscious mind do 2% of the things we do in our daily life. when we started to live from the conscious mind than the struggle is start. if we repeat the act or thoughts than that act or thoughts absorbed in our subconscious mind and it become our habit and we are naturally and effortless act. so it means that 98% of our behaviour and act or thinking decided by our subconsious mind.

and our subconscious mind act according to our beliefs. if we have empowering beliefs than we are going to act in empowering way. if we have limiting beliefs than we are going to limit ourselves. and i am agree with this statement.

if we have limiting beliefs than this limiting beliefs stop us to achieve our goal. and law of attraction work only when we are clear from the subconscious mind level. if our subconscious mind is clear and have no limiting belief for any particular goal for example financial abundance than we can get the abundance in our life. because our outer reality is exactly the same of our internal reality.

if i accept it as truth that Psych-K or NLP or any other technique change the belief in 3-5 minutes or within few weeks than a question has arise why people are not successful as they are. for example if i know the psych-k and i remove my limiting beliefs and i make the goal of income of US 500 milllion than the question arise why i am not successful in short time in a effortless way (inspired action) because i am now clear from the subconscious level so the manifestation of my goal is easy and in short period of time. why i am not able to achieve my goal. why people who use this cannot be successful as they can.

why they are just open their website and charges money for teaching them. they can eaisly earn the abundance not in financially but also in every area of their life. why they are opening a website and charging the money for it. i am not against them and also i am not saying that they are charging too much money. i am just saying that if they know how can they bring the abundance in their life than why not they do it only for fun why they are charging money. i do not understand it.

because with this question another question is also arise. if i change my core beliefs than it means that i can bring the abundance in every area of my life in a short period of my life. i just have to change my perception and take the inspired action. why a good number of people are not earning the abundance in their life.

right now every one is going through the recession and they are doing their best to survive. if this changing belief can bring the abundance in their life why not they are going to it. because everybody working hard to survive and this thing bring abundance in their life so why not people go there. i think it is because they does not believe that they can achieve the abundance in their life because they use the technique of some of the personnel development guru who show them that they can easily achieve their results in short period of time.

what is wrong with it. why i am not able to manifest the abundance in my life. if all my subconscious beliefs are harmony with the goal.

is i am wrong in my perception. is my question is totally wrong. i donot know. can you please let me know.

thanks,

You are not right.

When you remove someone's limiting belief about money and they do not have any limiting beliefs left about money, the abundance will come to them.

Abundance is the natural state of every human being, and it is only limiting beliefs that hold people back from it.

Beliefs, values, and certitudes are effectively the motors of motivation that will generate the behaviors that will produce some kind of results - the ones we want and unwanted others. And...that is normal as it allows one to adjust the aim.

"Effortless success" is a myth that can sell books and seminars, but has no place in reality. I don't know where you get that we act 98% from the subconscious mind. It's a territory that has generated countless psychological theory, and we've yet to learn about it's real role or effects in people's behavior. We can predict some based on statistical, and clinical analysis, however it's not an exact science that can actually predict or analyze what could happen.

A case in point is a student that shows up at school and starts shooting randomly to kill. Easier to attempt to explain why it may have happened after the fact, than having recognized the symptoms so that it could have been prevented.

Analysis of successful people indicates many more elements than simply reducing it to the "Law of Attraction". At best, the "Law of Attraction" will help the person focus in a specific direction so that his increased awareness of events and people will help him/her make better decisions to get closer to the his/her objective.

The ingredients for success go beyond positive or optimal thinking and the belief in the "Law of Attraction" simplicity. More like a combination of:
  • Genes (physical pre-disposition is one for sports)
  • Date of birth - being at the right place at the right time - (not because of astrological signs) but because of an era (examples: computer and software age - Jobs and Gates; early access to technology to learn it, and develop it further - which would also include location
  • Family (interests, activities, stimulation, encouragement, talent, hobbies, travel if any, and where)
  • Environment - side of railway tracks - people you hang up with - who you meet/mingle with - who is in your network of friends, acquaintances, and business contacts around your home, at school, later on in university, job or business.
  • Intellectual stimulation at an early age: access to tools, equipment, objects, books, audios of personal interest at an early age, and later on
  • The sheer number of hours spent on the object of interest. Some say that beyond 10,000 hours is the beginning of success in most hobbies, development of talent or job. The Beatles were not an overnight sensation, although we were led to believe that. They paid their dues by playing extremely long hours in seedy bars. At some point they made some choices that brought them into the limelight. Who knows if equally and even better bands could have made it too, but made the wrong choices along the way.

Why are you not making $500 million? Because of some of the above reasons, some of which are beyond your short-term control, maybe even your long-term control. People who make $500 million started somewhere. When they got checks through the mail was probably because they sent a bill to someone for products sold or services accomplished other than a request to the Supreme Being or because of the "Law of Attraction"...
  • Family wealth that gave them the seed money to either continue the family's business or expand into something else. Considering that passing over a family business has only close to a 5% chance of surviving, it's a feat in itself.
  • Wealthy relationships - friends or family that can lend you the money for a good idea
  • Entering a profession where making that kind of money is possible (real estate, high-end broker, an invention, a personal talent such as in music, art, clothing, gadget that people need, movies, script-writing for Oscar movies or TV shows, selling high-end products to the rich such as cars, boats, jewelry, luxury hotels).

Yes NLP (I use it in my coaching sessions) can help remove some "thinking" obstacles to actually doing something concrete, instead of thinking about why it does not work. I'm certified in the MBTI (Myers' Briggs), too for helping people to understand their behavioral preferences and those of others. Easy to do though an online questionnaire. Results are instant in a downloadable report.

However, there still could be some core beliefs that cannot be changed that could influence motivation - or motive (s) for action. You could believe that killing is wrong. Or that money is the seed of all evil. That rich people can only succeed by taking advantage of other people. That wealth does not bring health and happiness. And you don't like that.

Case in point, a maniac is about to slit your child's throat, and you can stop him by pulling the trigger to his head. Which belief will win? Life or protection of your family well-being? What excuse will you give yourself to having or not having pulled the trigger? Which one will you live with best afterwards? So, there are core beliefs, sometimes not in our awareness, and those that I call "working beliefs", those we say we have and use on a daily basis, and create harmony in our relationships, and justify living like we live.

My take on successful people is that they don't lose time in analyzing the reasons for success, but rather spend time in doing something to get close to what they want - each day. They learn by trial and error a lot. Eventually, some of them pontificate about their success in best-seller books, seminars or speaking engagements. Most of them, don't really know why they succeeded, but will use grandiose motivational theories to embellish what was really sweat, fear, adrenalin, and tears. If only one of those books, seminars or speeches really had THE INGREDIENTS for success for ANYBODY, then it would be easy to follow the recipe. As we know, it's not the case.

Belief is good, but not the only ingredient...

thanks Richardj7 for your answer. it is nice one and full of questions. but it also raised some questions and i am sure you know the answer of that one also.

i am saying that effortless success is possible on the basis of blog of steve pavlina and other self-help professional like jack canfield, john assraf etc. and i think that steve is honest with this things. he started some experiment with the intention manifestation and he tell that he is successful on that. with the help of the changing this thought pattern and feeling he is able to manifest the good and big results in less time and with less efforts. my effortless success does not meaning that one can achieve success by sitting whole day. i mean by doing less work and he can achieve the great results. as in case of steve pavlina or jack canfield and others.

can you explain a bit that how can effortless success is a myth by keeping this fact in mind that i do not trust to make money from thin air.

i am saying that we are operating through subsconscious mind by 98%. it means that when we are not making the conscious choices than we are on the autopilot. most of us are running our life on the autopilot mode. we spend less than 10% of daily time on conscious thinking and doing. most of us behave and work in autopilot way. and autopilot way is done by the subconscious mind.

when we see anything than we are getting the information higher than the 100,000 times of the conscious mind. for example when i enter in a room than from the conscious mind i just see only the 2-5 things in a room but my subconscious mind see a more than 100,000 times of the things. so he see the every spot on the wall, every dark spot on the carpet and other little things which we does not see. because we have so much amount of data so our mind filter the data with our values, beliefs and other things. because we filter the information we are getting from the enviornment and about 99% of the data has been deleted by our habit, beliefs, values and other things. so from that 1% data we choose our response. and deletion portion happen so intanstantly in a fraction of second we cannot observe it. so we are going to behave according to our beliefs and values and other things which we does not choose. but we act according to them. so that is why i am saying that we are behaving in autopilot. i just writing only a tiny portion of things i wanted to say to you. because if i write than it will take a lot of space if you want explaination than i can give.

if i understand your point than you are saying that changing beliefs cannot bring the abundance. it also require some other factors like opportunities, company of right people i mean being in the right place in the right time.

so it means that effortless success is myth. but i see myself that steve pavlina create good results in short period of time. and in this recession he is enjoying the success and abundance by doing less work and in short period of time. could you please explain this. because this is the essence i wanted to know. it give the whole answer i wanted to know.

thanks,

I would say the easiest and best way without getting into too much thought or confusion is to just think and be happy and imagine your life without much debt or stress, etc. Make a visionary board and think about it. I tried this several times as a TEST. I imagined my very small business as making allot of money in one month. I visualized how it would happen it manifested itself. I was only about $50 short of my goal. I imagined myself with a person I had seen in my future and it came to me about a year later. It's patience and positive thinking. If you ever have a down day, just try to get over it and refocus on the good. Why are teachers charging money for classes or goods to share this knowledge? Because they can and sometimes it helps them too. I would love to give my services away for free but I have expenses like rent, etc. to pay, as well as my time in teaching others. I give more out than what I get back always.

How do you know that these people, that do the work of releasing limiting beliefs, are not abundant? They probably are. Those that teach and charge - well that is their avenue to some of their abundance, perhaps. And not all that learn some technique become teachers/web site builders of that technique, yes?

Sanjay, you are right on many points. There are programmed and unconscious activities in the body that allow us to live such as blood flow, breathing, eating and digestive functions. We do not have to think about it. Other activities we do are learned through being told, seeing others do it, and making choices, from baby until death.

Some of those learned activities become unconscious or semi-conscious, such as having learned how to ride a bicycle, opening doors, using a fork and knife. You may be driving a car for a while, lost in thought, and be suddenly surprised to not being able to recognize where you are or surprised that you got where you were going so fast.

People who succeed have learned processes that they eventually put away in unconsciousness or subconsciousness so that they seem to do the right things without effort. Sometimes, they really can't explain why to other people, reducing their explanations down to "recipes" of which they are not totally aware of ALL the ingredients.

As a further example, some good cooks will automatically put in a pinch of this or that in their meal preparation and someone else trying to copy them will not get the exact result. Why? Because some motions are unconscious and difficult to explain. They adjust their recipes according to the feedback they get from what they are cooking: taste, temperature, relative freshness of the components, micro adjustments of spices, etc. That's the main difference between great cooks, and day-to-day cooks.

I believe that yes you can work smarter than harder. It comes with experience. You do not have to recall every little bit of experience each time you want to work smarter. You've learned it, you put it away, you use it mechanically.

When other people are told what to do through books, conferences, workshops, there could be some missing ingredients that will give them a false sense of security or hope. Eventually, some of them will lose faith in themselves, get discouraged, stop to believe or look for yet another method of success so that they can get another "hope fix", just like a drug addict needing his next fix to feel better.

Steve Pavlina, Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins, and many, many others have realized their own personal objectives and did help thousands of people reach their own objectives. However, not everybody, and probably not the majority. I surmise maybe 2% of those who came in contact with their wisdom. Why? Missing ingredients which many cannot recall or explain properly. That is why we are seeing so much of things like the "Law of Attraction" interpretations. It sounds good, but has very little value for most people. If anything, it attracts a lot of delusion, and self-hypnosis...

Another point that is often not considered. Some motivational speakers actually accomplished something in their lives such as climbing Mount Everest. Winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Save lives through new medical breakthroughs or drugs. Some became successful business leaders or developed industries that created thousands of jobs.

Other motivational speakers became wealthy and popular by selling "How to" books, cassettes, DVDs, and seminars. They speak well. Are convincing. They made more money telling other people what to do, when they did not do anything else except selling those ideas. Nothing wrong with that, but it may explain why it may not work for most people....

Coming back to the choices we make. One mental process is called reticular activating system. (From Wikepedia) Fibers from the reticular formation are vital in controlling respiration, cardiac rhythms, and other essential functions. Although the functioning of this system is a prerequisite for consciousness to occur, it is generally assumed that this system's role is indirect and it does not, by itself, generate consciousness.

Some motivational speakers have attributed that system to being able to focus attention on people and events that will make a person only see what will contribute to reaching their goals, and discarding the rest. An example given is when you buy a new car. For a few days afterwards, you will pay more attention to ads or people driving the same car your bought.

So, in a sense, you are right in saying that we are bombarded with thousands of physical stimuli: sound, images, feelings. We condition ourselves to only retain what is useful for us at any time, and become alert - automatic functioning. However, when danger is imminent or when we became interested in something, because we pre-programmed that interest as a cue for later recognition, it will trigger attention to that.

On the negative side, people can lose their lives by not having pre-programmed proper behaviors in front of dangers. An example of that is the behavior demonstrated by crowds in a discotheque when a fire breaks out, and they take an enormous time to react, and when they do they make the wrong decisions - such as attempting to get out through only one door when others are available - creating a jam where people die of smoke inhalation.

One ingredient I mentioned before is being in the environment that will be conducive to such triggering of interest. If I want to become a real estate mogul, I will not spend my time with weekend photographers photographing birds in a park, unless it's relaxation time. I will rather photograph buildings, find out about their construction, their price, their upkeep, their financing. I will study the ads, make offers, talk with other people about real estate, watch television programs about renovation. Eventually, all that learning will become second nature or unconscious.

I will have developed a sense or an intuition about what to do, how to react, and negotiate that will seem simple for someone looking at me. But, I put in lots of time to learn all these things so they become unconscious.

Eventually, your initial belief that may have started as an "interest" in something, will - through becoming more at ease with knowledge about that interest and personal trial and error experiences that become more and more successful - develop into a stronger belief, a certitude.

Failure will only be a stepping stone, a learning experience that will not derail you from your purpose. It's easier to give up at the start because you have no point of reference of incremental success. That is why people that go bankrupt after having succeeded in life, become wealthy again faster. They KNOW they can do it, not just BELIEVE that they can. Big difference.

So how do you develop strong beliefs? By having incremental success that strengthen that belief.
Namaste...

My take is that there is still lost of effort and knocking on doors or working on ideas, after you get your subconsciousness programed to be doing what you want. The deal is, that effort is not as much a struggle because your subconsciousness is providing effort that you don't even realize. You have enlisted your subconscious mind to work for you, in a way. The subc. mind will generate ideas and hunches that you still have to develop. Also, it's possible there will be less stress and much optimism that doing "effort" just feels effortless. You are happy to do the work and find it fun instead of grinding the wheels.

Hi Sanjay,

I would say that even if we remove all our limiting beliefs, abundance would not come if we are sitting and waiting for it. I like to say as mindset is 50% and action is the other 50% of abundance. Only when you can have the abundance mindset and also the action that support your mindset, you can achieve abundance in life. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Some people just feel abundant even though they are not sitting on wads of cash. People with lots of things, have more things to loose.

The mindset of abundance is also the mind set of feeling like you have what you need right now. I know, it's just an ideal. If you have bills and lost your job how could anyone feel abundant? I am just speaking philosophically. But it is an idea that gets kicked around. Wanting more is not what helps, perhaps. Realizing what you do have, even if it's not much, does help. Being grateful, etc... Not "needing". Not demanding. Not that I'm on that path.

Just saying there's this idea of abundance that is all mind set, not external at all. And that once in that mind set the external opens up for you, supposedly.

Abundance is a state of mind. Financial wealth is not. If you change your limiting beliefs, and change your state of mind, then you can experience abundance instantly. This is not to say that you will immediately have x dollars in the bank. Abundance is not x dollars in the bank, abundance is a state of mind.

How's the old quote go "two men looked out from prison bars, one saw mud, the other stars" Your life situation right now can either be seen as abundant, where you are thankful for what you have and see things as blessings, or scarce where you are mad for what you have and see things as obstacles. Either way, what you see is the same.

If you wish to have financial wealth, that is an admirable goal. However, that is an external goal. External goals take time and action to achieve. Abundance, on the other hand is an internal goal. It takes no time, no action to achieve (although these can help cement the state of mind into a permanent reality). It is a way of looking at your life.

Therefore, removing limiting beliefs through such processes as NLP or other ways can make you see things abundantly right now. However, they will not give you money right now. Money is an external goal, and requires certain actions and activities to acquire. If you change your limiting beliefs, it can put you on the road to having x dollars in your control. However, it requires action (whether you feel this action is hard or easy depends upon your viewpoint as well).

So if you want to feel abundant and make the actions required to get rich seem easy, then nlp can help. However, only the actions you take in the external world, outside of your mind can move you closer to an external goal such as money. Having a supportive mental environment, developed through nlp, can make those actions be perceived as effortless, necessary, leading to success, etc. This may make it easier to take such actions. However, until you take actions in the external world, you will not change anything external, such as your level of finances.

The goal of nlp and other mind therapies, is therefore to make it as easy as posssible for you to take the actions in line with your goals, and eliminate mental resistance. However, until you take those actions, you will not achieve external goals. You may achieve internal goals such as a feeling of fulfillment or purpose, a view of the world as abundant or easy, and clarity of what is required. These are admirable internal goals that can greatly improve your quality of life, and clear out any internal conflict between you and your goal. however, achieving these internal goals has no impact on your external goals. Action in the external world has an impact on your external goals, and nothing else. Having a mind that supports you in those actions due to nlp training makes that action easier, almost effortless, but it does not take the action. your body does.

Sanjay, if you wish to achieve an external goal, and you have not, then you must ask what external actions have you not taken and why. resolve those issues, whether internal or external, and then keep going towards your goal. and remember, x dollars in the bank takes time because it is external. abundance does not because it is an internal way of viewing things.

Hope that helped
