I have recently read an article about Cardell Smith's system of positive thinking: Everytime you feel a negative thought is coming, stop and switch to it a positive one. Tell yourself good stories instead of bad ones you keep looping in your brain. This following month I'm gonna switch every bad though in a great one. Who wants to join me? Starting from NOW. Giesel, I am in. Just want to ask how you intended to do that. I did try it before (idea is not new obviously)and got much better but I am not always aware of what I am thinking. If if you are not are it is impossible to switch thought. Do you got int handled somehow? Visualization, NLP or any other way. Would love to know how you intended to accomplish this and track progress, so I can addatt the winning strategy God Bless Us |

Hey guys, glad you're in! ProLifestyler - Being aware of your thoughts is just a matter of time and practice. The fact that you're here and starting the positive thinking challenge shows that you are aware of what you're thinking. I heard someone saying we think thousands of thoughts a day but I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about thoughts we keep thinking over and over again like: I'm fat, I don't look good, my boss hates me, I hate my job, I don't have friends, why can't I find love, why am I so stupid, I need more money etc. For most people those thoughts keep looping in their brain without them even noticing. Not for us! Well, my system is just trying to be as much aware as I can. There are thoguhts I've noticed I think alot like "I don't like my body" and "why my friends are so annoying and why don't I have more friends". I'm thinking ugly and lack. I'm very much aware of these thoughts and the fact their giving me nothing but anger and disappointment from myself. Everytime I have a bad thought (even the slightest) I stop it and think about what I do want. For example: Instead of thinking I don't like my body I switch it to I've got a womanly body. I'm not skinny but I'm not fat either and thank my parents for the genes. Instead of thinking I need more money, I turn it to I have a great job and I'm making good amount of money for my age and I can afford lots of things, even expensive ones. For start, you can write all of your thoughts on a piece of paper and for every bad though, write a great one instead and visualize yourself doing it. Really feel the act of being and doing what you want. Secondly, notice how you feel. If you bad, sad, annoyed or depressed - Then you know you're thinking negative thoughs. Go back and listen to yourself, notice what you have thought that made you feel this way. This system always works. Hope it works for you |

Update from Magi. 28 Feb 09 I met a crisis of going or not going to class due to migraine, but due to positive thinking, it went away after a few minutes. I just used my visualization of a blue candle flame and the blue sky filled with sexy dancing blue goddesses. ^^, Hahaha score 100 for day 1. I went to class and did what I was supposed to do. :3 |

My improvement today: Negative thoughts - (My brother's girlfriend came over and she's really pretty, tall and thin) I thought I wish I was thin and taller. I need faster metabolism, I need to stop eating so much, I'm so lazy (I need to workout). Positive thoughts - To be honest, I could be fatter. I don't workout and I pretty much eat whatever I want. I've got great genes and I'm perfect height (average) so most of guys are taller then me and I like it. |

Another update, 03/03/09 Recently I've been stressed out due to studies and I needed a break. I went home to my city in another island here in the Philippines. It felt great, even though it was just a one day vacation. I felt relieved to see my grand parents and my other family members. I'm very thankful for that experience. It erased all the negative thoughts I felt by seeing the person I loved and my very best friends. |

^ Glad to hear it Magi. What's your major? Update 7/3/09: The past week started weak. Thoughts like I hate my friends, work routine is boring, feeling uncomfortable with my body kept me busy in the weekend and the first couple of days. By Wednesday I felt better. There's a guy at work I'm starting to get friends with him and even added him to my Facebook friends list, I had a really good idea how to celebrate a friend's birthday and from that I got a call from a mutual friend who I haven't talked to in a while and he was willing to help me arrange all that. I talked to another friend who I really disliked in the past few months and we aggreed to talk things out (mostly me). And I bought You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. Very recommanded. This week was very productive. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and did actions to a better future. Yay me! |

I'm an Econ grad, now studying law. 07 march 2009 Update: M13 I am an insomniac, but i recently overcome it. I can not make myself feel sleepy anytime I want to and wake up after a few hours, well rested. |

univeserse love cares and protect me. i am rich and prosperous and i always ask myself how can i be even more rich loving charming prosperous, compassionate, focused, happy, bonding with people, ? money comes easy and frequesntlt. dollars started manifested in my incoming drafts. wow it is amazing. the quest to be more have taken me to the jorney to read books of wordeful authours frm deepak chopra to michenial neal, anthony robbins, and many many more. so all is well with me. people like me and i can contribute to well being ot other people. i am ourageous and outstanding with ample best friend. my simles worth millions of dollars. so be with you.
