Default 30-day challenge - stay away from bargins

I cannot resist a good deal and am constantly searching for a good deal to buy. I waste too much time on the internet. I don't need more stuff.

I need to spend 6 hours per day working and stop surfing the internet for bargains. The 30-day challenge starts from 2/26/09.

Did you ever try to get in touch with the triggers of your bargain compulsion?

If you notice the nature of Steve's 30 day trials it is not so much about "quitting" or stopping something, but about implementing a new facet into his life, and simply as a mere side affect the negative habits and emotions will fall away.

It may serve you to truly understand what triggers the behavior and redirect that misguided creative energy towards more creative acts.

My father is and always has been a bargain shopper/ hoarder. I believe this comes from a poor childhood, which has instilled a sense of scarcity in him that he is not cognizant of. He feels that he must buy the good deals stock up on them, and try to conserve every last ounce. But a month later he is throwing the spoiled bargain food out and putting the plastic junk in the attic. The whole concept is paradoxical because he ends up throwing half of the food out and never using half of the bargains he purchased.

At any rate... Good luck on your Journey and please keep us posted.
