5 day trial: receptivity.

For five days, I am going to operate as a polarized Receptive in my social dealings. This is from my own line of thought, that I call the Sociocircuitry Hypothesis.

I have to write my resume, but other than that I'm not going to engage in any Projective social activity.

What this means is that I am going to go where there are people, and stay open to what they have to say, and absorb the energy around me/transmute Projective energy that comes my way, without trying to project my own energy at all.

I was a polarized Proj and it wasn't working for me. I want to come back into balance and I want to try accomplishing from a position of Reception, I think it'll help my social life and my LOA. I was a very bossy Alpha, only child, very self-centered, focused on my own creations and having an audience. Like most Alphas who are over-Alpha, I wasn't very successful. You can't be a good leader and alienate your followers.

Hell I'm being Proj just by even answering this question, but I don't know yet how to apply these dynamics sanely in a normal online conversation.

Actually it's not psychic vampirism at all, I'm just not good at explaining it. Being Receptive is being a transmuter - if anything the Proj tends to be the vampire. Running "Projective" energy is actually more like vampirism. I have been called a psychic vampire at times, and ran almost 100% pure Projective energy.

It works kind of like this according to my Sociocircuitry ideas:

What you're thinking of as psychic energy, tends to be given in exchange for Projective energy. Projectors push push push trying to get attention and energy.

Receptives GIVE attention. They TRANSMUTE energy and RETURN it to the Projective, and they translate for the Projective at times. Example: traditional masculine/feminine dynamic where the woman is adept at sensing the man's feelings before he is aware of them, and where the man is adept at making things happen in the outer world.

Example of a Receptive and Projective team is one written about in ceremonial magick, where you have a Sorcerer (Projective) and a medium/channel (Receptive) working together.

There are submodes in addition, bringing a total of four modes into the picture:
Projection
Covert Projection
Reception
Assertive/Aggressive Reception

(There are additional secondary submodes, I'm still developing the idea; I recently added "Filtered Reception" and "Passive Projection")

I've written lots about it and hopefully will soon have a more coherent article that makes more sense to people who haven't followed the development of these ideas over the years.
