I am interested in learning what measurements were used to ascertain the quality of 'best'.

For example, style - what is style ? Why is one style best ?
Or, content. There are thousands of PD blogs, and they all have PD content. If the content is similar, what attributes of content are identifiable as better than others ?

And so on...

Best Wishes,
Eric

Default Pook

Somebody mentioned a writer called 'Pook' earlier in this thread and I want to add to that recommendation.

He wrote about relationships on the sosuave.net forums, offering profound (yet very simple) knowledge in an engaging, distinctive style. These posts are excellent and well worth a read (there's a link to those earlier in the thread).

Recently he's started up a blog, where he serves up challenging ideas in his usual humerous way, centering around feminism, relationships and personal development. You can find it here:

Pook's Mill

It's being less frequently updated now, but he's talking about putting up a website this year. Browse the archives!

I look for clear, concise, understandable writing. In the case of Patty Digh (37days), I look for real insights or just plain inspirational ideas. Steve's work resonates so strongly with me because it's so rich--he covers literally everything about a given topic. I think the best PD is exceptional clear, and the best "writing-writing" is exceptionally crafted.
