I fluctuate between watching a lot of tv and watching very little. Mostly when I watch TV I watch it online or on DVDs now. I'll watch entire series of shows pretty quickly, usually in under a week. The Office Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia Southpark Penn and Teller: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I don't seem to get the same high I used to get watching tv when I was a kid. I prefer other activities now. |

I never watch TV cause I don't need to - I watch the movies I want on my computer. And the music videos I want on youtube Especially when I want to watch a TV series, it would kill me if I had to watch it on TV - having to sit through publicity break, having to watch only one episode at a time... Much better on the computer. However, I love watching movies and series, and when I have a good one that I plan to watch, it's hard to postpone it even if I want to. Movies addiction |

how much is too much? If this month i were to watch the amount of television i use to have in one sitting 20 years ago, then it is more likely too "much" for me. I do not miss it one little bit. It was simply a choice i made some years ago after recognizing that the content was mostly regurgitation, and that it had very little content of any value for me. I explained it a little bit more, and shared my experience in the following post that was based on a Blog by Steve some time ago. Giving Up TV (Blog) By no means am i inferring giving up TV, but if someone else is interested in Steve's original Blog relating to that thread, here is the link which was missing . Giving Up TV There is also a link in that blog with the title "Reduced TV Watching" |

Sometimes I think the internet can be just as destructive to the mind as television. The most important thing is not whether you use these mediums, but HOW you use them. In general, though, I don't watch a lot of television. Especially not the news.

I don't really watch television. Maybe I watch television for about 15minutes a month. I watch DVD's instead, because there I could pick any movie that I wanted without having to wait for it on TV. I mainly use my free times on the net chatting and doing on forums. |

| Do you find those to be good sources of information about the world? In general I'm a bit put off by how short their reports are, and how little background information is given for each news story. They're also full of graphics and special effects, and I sometimes wonder what that has to do with the actual information about the world. On the other hand I can understand the need to keep yourself updated.

Oh heavens no. I grew away from TV like children grow away from playing in the sandbox. I watch sometimes but It just pisses me off.. those annoying ads, the stupid commercial breaks, the shows barely keep me interested and I dont feel like keeping check on when what is showing.. You know, keep a schedule based on your tv. |
