What do you think about girls being escorts or finding men as sugardaddy's who help them with money after a "date". Do you think these women are bad people, negative people, and lazy people? What about for the women who are unable to find a job at the moment and needs the help? Do you think a woman who receives money for sex is living her worst life and is a victim or do you think it is ok under certain circumstances? What makes you think a woman choose to go this way and live this type of lifestyle? Is there something inside a woman can change within mentally or something else?

this topic got me thinking after watching the first 5 episodes of secret life of a call girl on showtime. don't know what to make of the show really.

I respect them and appreciate them as I would any other professional service provider. Doctors, lawyers, hair stylists, massage therapists, escorts, dentists, etc are all in the same situation - they provide a valuable service for a plurality of individual clients who believe that their needs will be better served by a specialist - and they make their justified and earned income through providing sufficient value, usually ratified by word-of-mouth referrals, that permits them to command a price which is sufficient for their efforts.

Of course not! I might not approve of all their choices (for instance, the decision to go into law in the first place) but it's not really my place to criticize them.

If the woman receives and keeps the money she earns providing services for satisfied clients, she is not living a bad life, and it's completely fine.

Only if she has been enslaved and forced to provide sexual services by her slaver (aka pimp) is she a victim.

No, because it would severely damage my prospects if word came out. Nobody would like me teaching their children then. Many women choose to have sex with several man in a very short time. I do not see why taking money for it is any worse.

If a woman conciously takes this choice, it is fine, as long as it is honest on both sides. But if she is forced to choose this way because she is denied other ways of earning her living, it is a tragedy.

But I think there is indeed a danger in this, because it is money easily, perhaps too easily, earned. If a woman is not doing it now and then, but as a regular job, she might to come to depend too much on this easy money - and when the time comes when she can't continue this path (age or other reasons), she might be left without an education or chances to get a job that will support her.

This. It's one thing to try for customers when you're a hot twenty-something, but it's like modelling: sooner or later, age is going to creep up on you. Yes, I'm sure there are always clients with a more.. ehm... specific taste, but it will be a lot harder to make a living.

I'm pretty much against any occupation, erotic or not, that revolves completely around your body and looks. Prostitution, but also modelling or trying to become some rich guy's 'trophy wife'. Your body will start sagging long before your brain will, so in my opinion, it is better to make use of the latter to earn a living.

It all depends on how much they get paid. If they drive a hard bargain they are respected as smart cookies. Otherwise they are pitied as helpless victims.

I won't criticize anyone's profession or chosen lifestyle. The only thing that I object to is dishonesty within a relationship if there is the case of a relationship. Hiding something like that from a partner is a form of dishonesty in my opinion.

Otherwise, people are free to do whatever they choose to do to earn a living as long as nobody gets hurt in the process.
