Default anyone want an online "life coaching buddy"? (cool website helps this to happen)

hey everyone,

do you have some worthwhile goals you really want to achieve? could you benefit by having a coach help guide you towards achieving your goals?

if so, I found this really cool website called noomi (Set and Achieve your life goals: Noomii.com)

the way it works is two people ("buddies") coach each other towards achieving their goals using the resources on the website. here's a video that explains it a bit more: Set and Achieve your life goals: Noomii.com

it's all free and looks really cool and could be very helpful for achieving goals

I'm looking for someone to buddy with, so if anyone is interested, please reply in this thread (or PM me) with the following details;
  1. some basic info about yourself
  2. what are you top goals
  3. on a scale of 1 to 10, how committed are you to achieving your goals

I was about to post a message about that site :-)

The Facebook group needs more members: Noomii - Find a Partner | Facebook

So here's what I posted on the Facebook group:

Quote:
Hey! I'd love to find a coaching partner. My primary goal right now is on relationships.

I'd prefer a woman, since maybe that will help me more, but I think also a man in a successful relationship (or who has been) could help me too.

As for locality, well, I don't care as long as we can accommodate our schedules and time zones (GMT -06:00). I do have a very flexible schedule.

I'm looking for honest, real, down to earth kicks in the pants, a friend if you will

For duration, until April. Of course, if a friendship develops, we could be life-long partners. That would be awesome

On frequency, I'd say twice a month for 30 mins, but I'm very flexible.

I actually have some (little) experience on coaching, and from what I gather, alignment of goals is not a requirement for a good coach, so I'm willing to help you out on any area and goal you wish. I will give you my commitment and support.

I'm up for helping anyone of the previous posters on this forum (or anybody else of course), anyone?
I'm very excited about the prospects of this site! And I found it by accident just when I was considering finding someone to coach me.

Default Looking for an Buddy

I've been looking for something like this for a few months now, so this thread caught my eye. I think accountability is a major key in achieving your goals especially if you have a track record of not achieving them on your own.
I personally think finding the right person/match is extremely important with this system. To make it work you need someone who is at a similar level as yourself to make sure both parties benefit.

The perfect fit for me should be:
1. Male (don't think my new wife would be that happy about me sharing my life with a woman of my age)
2. Around my age. (unless your a woman and you need to be old and ugly)
I'm 38, so between 30 and 45 would be best.
3. Not religious, but at least a little spiritual.
4. Someone who struggles with procrastination because we would have something to work on together.
5. Someone who is willing to be honest. Whats the point otherwise?
6. I'm in Australia and I don't mind where in the world you are from.

I'm a shift worker and the perfect time for me would be around 9pm New York time (midday Brisbane time), Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I'm not sure at the time frame but I'm thinking 1 hour per week, with a commitment of 2 months and then reassess after that.

Please PM me if your interested and what to know more.

Brad

Default noomii.com up and running again

Hi everyone,

My name is Stephan Wiedner and I'm the co-founder of noomii.com. The site was indeed down temporarily last night as we were fixing some bugs. We apologize for the downtime.

It's awesome that some of you have taken the initiative to find a buddy through this forum. We agree that the Facebook group needs more members to be of service. To remedy the situation, we are building some tools to facilitate match making from within noomii. Please stay tuned and in the meantime, I hope you find a coaching partner.

If you have any other concerns or feedback, please don't hesitate to email me directly at stephan at-symbol noomii dot com.

Best regards,

Stephan

The site looks good, and I like the concept of one person to keep you accountable. If anyone (including the OP) resonates with this post, I'd be more than happy to talk to a partner who can help me with my goals, and who I can help achieve theirs.

1. Basic info: 25, male, degree in electrical engineering, currently working as a scheduler for a construction company in Ontario, Canada.

2. Top Goals:

- Get dialed in to a good diet that I can stick to and that makes me feel good, cut out all processed crap, drop weight to about 185 (currently 205)
- Record a CD of original material
- Finish correspondance courses and write the MCAT

3. Level of commitment:

This is hard to quantify, I guess getting to the point of opening up my entire life to someone I've never seen would imply a pretty strong will to achieve these goals. However, I'll give you some background on these goals and you can make your own conclusions:

diet/weight: My diet is always a struggle ... I'm pretty active physically (did a marathon last year, play sports throughout the year), so getting a solid diet that I stick to is key here ... I've never really had a lot of control over food, so this one will be very difficult.

Record a CD: I've recorded a couple songs already, I need to pony up and buy some new equipment and learn some new software though. I think that this will happen fairly easily as long as I take preogressive steps.

Correspondance/MCAT: I've signed up for a BIO course and got some MCAT prep books, I'm finding that studying a course alone is much harder than studying in a class full of people in the same situation. Medium difficulty, will require constant pushing.

Allright, so that's me. If the OP (or anyone else) is looking for a partner and thinks that we would be a good match, send me a PM. Thanks, good luck all.

-Sean

^^^^^

it's great to see some people interested in using Noomi to help achieve their goals and help coach a buddy to achieve theirs too

one thing I forgot to mention in my original post is a I would prefer a female to buddy with as it would a greater learning experience for me (and my buddy too hopefully)

any females interested?

This sounds like a great idea

I'm a 22 year old female from the UK.

My main interests:

Health and fitness
Spirituality
Relationships
Career
Business

Some goals I am currently working on:

Loosing weight, maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise
Getting up early, having more energy and using my time more productively
Getting a pay rise
Finding a new group of friends who share my interests

I'd like my buddy to be a similar age but I don't mind whether they are male or female or where they are from. I would prefer to commincate via email or facebook to begin with.

Default Looking for a partner / someone to coach

My name is Ralph. I'm a high school student, 18 years old. I've recently started blogging on personal development. I scored 7-9 in all the areas except relationships. I already have a positive mindset about relationships and reality is slowly catching up.

I'm willing to coach and be coached. I'd write more but it's late so don't push me My email is ravdudek@gmail.com

My current primary goal is to find a compatible girlfriend. Specifically:

I want a girlfriend that is: Physically attractive and fit, full of energy and healthy Have a clear goal in life and pursues it. Chooses the direction of life consciously. Is able to empower me on the path to grow rather than hold me back and trying to catch up. Has to be challenging. Shares love freely, without any fears and second-thoughts. Contributes to my alignment with truth as this is the quality I lack. Is spiritually aware. Can be Christian, but spirituality has to be a patch chosen and developed consciously. Fun and playful, loves to dance. I require a lot, don't I?

I'm open to your offers
Ralph
