I've made some tough decisions and some amazing progress. However, while on the road it is hard for me to appreciate it. I have a lot going on in my head and I need to get it out and organized. I don't want to make the same mistakes as before and to use all I know to empower me and others around me. Currenlty, my emotions are focused on determination and will. I'm afraid to loosen my intensity for fear of becoming weak. So I ask those that may know, how do I stay focused, driven and passionate without staying tense, on edge, and cold? Another request is how do I face confrontation with those around me, without seemingly being arrogant or cold, and yet still respecting my own time, needs and such? Thirdly, how do I stay on the course? How do I not get caught up in the moment, and like I have in the past. Everything is well and good now that I really have to due to my environment, however, I want to condition this as being natural when I want something versus the environment. So that way when I get some money in my pocket my desire doesn't wan. |

well... to change how you subconsciously think, you need to first change your conscious thoughts, and more importantly, your actions. If you want to feel cool-headed, confident and motivate, convince yourself that you are and act that way. Sorry for the short explanation, but it's really really late. Or early depending on how you look at it. 4 a.m. I'll elaborate in the morning. In the meanwhile, check out CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). it may be for depressed and anxious people, but it works wonders for everyone. |

“Expressing my rights and acknowledging others’ rights. It doesn’t guarantee I’ll get what I want - but it does guarantee that I’ve expressed myself and, therefore, maintained my integrity. It’s saying what I want/feel, voicing my opinion/saying no, being able to negotiate the best solution for all.” (unsure source) Assertiveness is the middle way between passivity and aggression. You have the right to express an opinion, say how someones behavior makes you feel, to disagree. Learn to say no - like any techniques you need to practice! | |
