Angela, Master!

Today I committed to a course of study to become a certified Master NLP Practitioner, Master Hypnotherapist, and to get certified through the International Coach Federation. I'm excited to add these resources to my toolkit, and really looking forward to seeing what kind of breakthroughs are going to show up in my life.

I've been learning a lot about NLP this past year without even realizing it (!) and now that I'm consciously applying some of the things I've learned, I can see miraculous possibilities -- stand back! I don't know how big this thing gets!

I'm suspending my current coaching for the time being, except for my currently in-process people, and my new, improved coaching will start up again in March.

Yay! I don't know why I didn't do this before. I reckon I just wasn't ready till now. This really feels like "my swing."

Thank you, wellbeing, for the uptalk! Actually, about 80% of the coaching I do is not in person. I've coached people all over the world.

I'm not sure how well hypnotherapy will work over the phone, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

Danger Man just asked to be my first hypnotee, except he's a little worried I'm going to plant some insidious post-hypnotic suggestion, make him want to get married or something.

BTW, in this day and age of internet telephony, huge bandwidth internet connections and inexpensive internet cameras, perhaps (once you get certified and all) doing hypnosis over the internet might be a better option than a telephone. Just a thought (and from no expert, by any means). I'm sure your teachers would have helpful insights on this subject.

Thanks! Strictly speaking, I do the coaching over the Internet, not the telephone -- I use Skype (and email for the preliminary part.) I haven't been using the camera, but maybe that's something I will do. For some reason, my eyes tear up looking at computer camera images -- you know, the choppy, frame-by-frame quality thing? It messes with my mind. But I guess since I'll be using hypnosis to seriously mess with my mind anyway...

Oooh congratulations, this sounds so incredibly cool!

I've read some really interesting things on NLP (some of the Bandler books) and find it *fascinating* but haven't really put it into practice. I've dabbled quite a bit with self-hypnosis too, nothing too deep, mostly just help falling asleep

If you come across any great books, and you think of it, I'd love to hear about them!

And if you need another guinea pig at some point, you're welcome to try it out on me, if we can figure out the computer thing (my computer is a desktop in one room with no comfy chairs - argh - my bed is in the next room over.)

I have loads of issues, so finding something to fix would really not be hard *LOL*

Thanks, Jendoe, but you are absolutely perfect -- there's nothing to fix! And if there's something you want to deliberately affect about your reality, we can look at that.

I got interested in NLP a year or so ago when I discovered Paul McKenna's NLP hypnosis download that he had on his site -- since taken down. I bought a bunch of his books imported from the U.K. that included hypnosis meditations, and there were some weird things in those meditations that I've since learned are NLP techniques. I also downloaded a phobia hypnosis thingie from his site that made a world of difference for me.

McKenna and Bandler are pretty closely associated. McKenna, I understand, learned NLP directly from Bandler, and they're actually doing an event here in Beverly Hills next month that I was interested in attending, until I heard the entry fee: TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. For one evening. How about that. And I'm quite sure they will sell out. Astonishing.

Maybe that will be me, someday, huh? $20k a seat to go to one of my events. But you guys will get a big discount.

Looks like you beat that 'boss fight' in your game-world after all, and are leaps and bounds growing more into yourSelf than ever before! Here is a very big *HUG* from me... Can you feel it?

NLP is pretty amazing. I ventured into it, and found that it resonated strongly with a direction I was already headed. I do believe that you will be even more tremendous with your coaching after this. Just a few words from you helped me out during a very rough time, and helped me on my path. Thank you for that!

By the way, I had this dream last night... something about potato farming in a medieval setting, and being amazed because I made $120 in a day. And even though it's not relevant to anything else, I know I dreamed it because I really like you!

Thank you, too striving4peace -- my favorite of the meditations is I Can Make You Confident, and my favorite of the books is I Can Make You Rich (because it has some very helpful exercises to guide you towards what value you really want to provide.

Hi, there L -- I found some very interesting resources at Paul McKenna Home Page, and you might want to peek at "NLP for Dummies." It's a fun introduction and has lots of little exercises you can do to give yourself a sense of what's possible.

You might want to book a session with an NLP practitioner and get coached yourself.

Thanks, Rose! NLP for Dummies is a book in that black & yellow "for Dummies" collection; it's not part of the McKenna site -- sorry for that confusion.

I'm registered on the McKenna site, and have purchased downloads with no problem at all.

I'm not sure, but I think Paul McKenna implanted a post-hypnotic suggestion in my brain to make me hot for him. He's #1 on my "list" (you know, like Erin and the guys on the star trek series?)
