We here this all the time: "you need to take yourself to the next level" But what does that mean to you? I just wrote a post about my view on the NEXT LEVEL and view the next level as an are I achieved because i decided to become uncomfortable with my current level. To me, my NEXT LEVEL, is my measure of growth. What does it mean to you when you hear it? (This is a broad question, but I'm curious to what you have to say, I would like to get a little more detailed on my website.) AJ Kumar

For me the next level means: Understanding more about life. Feeling good/better then before. Being more in peace with myself and others. It changes my opinions and my view on life itself. So yes, I also think it's a measure of growth. I'm currently on my work so I'll read your post as soon as possible. |

To me the next level means the next level of consciousness. I've been stuck at the level of neutrality for two years, so this was quite an interesting post to come across. Maybe you could elaborate more on making oneself uncomfortable? |

We like to look at it in terms of BIG goals reverse engineered to several small "next steps" - so that your next steps are always achievable, but leading incrementally to something much bigger. What's really cool is that once you make a few of these little steps, the overall impact on your life is often something much bigger than the goal you set in the first place So, if your objective was to lose 15lbs within the next 60-days AND you want to keep it off through the remainder of the year, you set that goal in stone - then develop a series of next steps to help you get there... 1. Step 1. Exercise 30-minutes each day at 60-75% of my heart rate 2. Step 2. Stop eating after 8PM - substitute some herbal tea or water if need be 3. Step 3. Be more consistent with your sleep patterns - go to bed 11PM, sleep to 6:00AM 4. Step 4. Reduce your consumption of alcohol from 4 drinks a week to no more than 1 5. Step 5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day - in effect this replaces other sugar-laced drinks ETc... I would view each one of these as a "next step" that leads to my ultimate goal with an aim toward long-term weight loss. The same pattern can be held in 4-5 major areas of your life.
