Heaps of the comments in this thread made me LOL. Great work. As for motivation I'll share that over the years I have found post 'event' I lose my fire. I'm not as aggressive in achieving my goals. Before Triathlons I'd abstain for about a week. It's hard to explain, but it'll like that raw primal side drops away and I become more sedate, passive and relaxed. Use sparingly if your a driven individual |

That it's getting easier or harder, no pun intended, as the days go by? Personally, the longer I go without doing something, especially after the initial withdrawal period, the easier it is to go without. I know it's like comparing apples to oranges, but when I moved to Nashville from Detroit two years ago, I didn't eat ice cream, one of my favorite things on earth, for months and didn't really miss it terribly. Until, of course, I had it again |

Going from almost addiction until nothing for two weeks must be satisfying if your goal has been to stop it from being a daily habit! Everybody who has tried it can agree that its hard to ignore the urge when it comes - but it will become way easier once its just out of your routine system. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!

FWIW Majesticzero, 16 out of 17 ain't bad. My line would look like this: Day 1: Fail Day 2: Fail miserably Day 3: Fail some more Day 4: Are you kidding me? Fail! Day 5: This is embarassing. Fail Day 6: Man, this sucks. I quit. Oh by the way: Fail Mad props to you. I'm sure you're learning some great lessons in discipline and what you're capable of as well. |

Stop thinking so much about it and do it whenever you feel like without making too much fuss and never be hard on yourself. You will notice that automatically, when you stop thinking about it, but do it when you need, and not think one second after you've finished about it, you will come to a balance and be in control again.

day 24: success! day 25: fail! day 26: success! I'm almost at the end of my 30 days. I have a lot more energy now than I had before. So I'll stick with it. Ofcourse once a week shouldn't be a problem. For the reading, I'll stick to it. I like to read, and it gives me a better feeling than doing nothing, watching tv or playing a videogame. |
