Renee Descartes once said – paraphrased obviously – all I know is that I can think. Cogito Ergo Sum.
What we can deduce from this – because it is in fact true – is that we live inside our own heads. We do not have unfiltered access to the world around us, and we have no immediate way of expressing our thoughts or beliefs or feelings. We have to use symbols to do this.
However people mistakenly believe there are only a limited and set number of ways to do this:

• Go to Church
• Wear a certain type of clothing
• Own a certain type of car

Etc…etc…etc…

I am here to say NO!

This is a lie fed to you by the system, not maliciously, but it’s just the way it has been designed, to keep you under control, to basically “plug you in to the Matrix”.

What am I talking about? Am I just rambling…Teenage Angst rant again Phil? Had something to drink, Phil? Maybe you should lie down…get some rest. No!

What I am saying is that individuality is paramount. And most people agree, the irony of it is, that they are told what being an individual is. Therefore they cannot be original, in the traditional sense.

To be original you must construct around yourself monuments to your own achievements. Now I don’t mean get a **** load of trophies made with your name engraved on them proclaiming your greatness.

I mean in everything you do, seek greatness, and seek to impart your soul – your power – onto that which you create. All life is an act of creation. When you get dressed, you create a façade – something very public. Seek to put your soul into so that when people see you, they feel you in every inch of your being.

When you write an essay for a class, ignore the rules, write in your style, make it fluent, elegant, and make reading it the equivalent of eating a fine meal and sipping an even finer wine. Read books YOU want to read, not what the world around considers “classics”. If at 30 you think Harry Potter is the greatest story ever told, you stand by your convictions!

It’s hard to do at first; I know I have struggled with it. However if you follow your intuition you soon calibrate (Calibration) to the needs of your own power.

To illustrate better what I mean – you know those special individuals, who have an air about them that is unique, if you pass them on the street, you notice them – inexplicably, subtly, they stand out from everyone else – these are the people who know, consciously or unconsciously, the secret of individuality – and you could be one of them.

Some people refuse to accept the responsibility of this, and instead choose to create a life with no soul – these are not necessarily poor or bad people – just people who refuse to impart themselves on their creations – their actions. These people are a cancer, a disease of society that rots – they take without giving, sucking the value from others whilst giving none in payment. They are the bankers who steal millions and sit on the money, not giving anything to the economy; they are the food manufacturers who don’t care if the animals suffer when they are killed – as long as Q1’s profits are up. They are also the low-life council-estate dwelling imbeciles who steal thousands in benefits for the illegitimate brain-dead children whilst lying about illnesses and their ability to work, but perhaps most importantly these people are the governments who apathetically ignore these problems and seek to keep their pockets lined and their subjects docile.

Despite this if each person takes responsibility to stand up and say: “I live for myself, and I will create a world of beauty” then those who seek darkness will not be around for more than a generation, think, imagine a world in which our great-grandchildren, or their grandchildren live, where each person feels a strong and undeniable drive to do the best they can, to provide the greatest value and create the most sublime beauty imaginable, not for the sake of an imaginary god, or because it’s the law to do so, but because each person understands intrinsically that a world without beauty, and passion and love and life and all those things – is a dead world.

Ours is a dead world, only a few small lights shine at the moment. But we can do it, there is still time. All over the world people seem to be waking up to this, and hearing the call, they provide immeasurable value, both practically, spiritually, and sometimes both.

Finally I want to leave you with a challenge over this holiday period. As you create this coming year, create by infusing your soul into what you do. I know I will be. Break out the Soul Sword, sharpen to infinity, and cut. Cut without mercy to the depths of your spirit. Cut and see the monuments of your greatness tower in the cranial vistas of mankind!
