I own a PocketPC and put my calendar on that, I always carry it with me and everything I want to do with my calendar can easily be done on it. It works fast enough for me and has enough capabilities. I back it up on my pc at home. I created a GTD system in my Gmail with labels for Projects, References, Someday, Waiting and the various Next Action lists. Every single item is an email, which I label accordingly and archive. If I go over my Projects list I have another browser window where I send emails to myself with the Next Actions I think of. My inboxes are just two: Gmail and snailmail. With my PocketPC I bought a contract for 1GB/month for 9.50 euros. This allows me to use Gmail for Mobiles frequently so wherever I am I have my entire GTD system with me. If something pops up in my mind or I have an interesting conversation I use my Pocket PC email function to mail myself a reminder or some notes. I've even used it to photograph recipes, opening hours of a supermarket, specifications of electrical devices and mail them to myself for reference. The one thing I am hoping for is that I could easily synchronize my PocketPc Calendar with Google Calendar. Or the more remote possibility that Google makes a well integrated program for PocketPC which syncs with Google Calendar. I'm wondering what kind of integration someone would like between their calendar and the rest of their GTD system. I remember reading that the calendar was purely for the "hard landscape" and the rest of GTD had no place in it. |

I like MS Outlook. The ease at which I can sync my PC with my IPAQ is great for the not so technically minded of us. There is also, I believe, a GTD add-on. I love gmail etc but feel that due to being a saleman and on the road alot, google calendar isnt the right choice for me, as you basically have to be online to use it. |

You can integrate Sunbird with Google Calendar. When you update one, the other automatically gets updated. In Sunbird I have a personal calendar and a public calender. I can overlay one on top of the other to see all of my events, but it is only updates to the public one that are reflected in the Google calendar. You can also grab the code from your Google calendar to add it to your site. Which is kind of cool, in that,t when I create new events in Sunbird, the calendar on my site (which is the Google calendar) automatically updates. Great way for letting clients know when you're available, when you're out and when you'll be back. Being able to manage a personal calendar from the same Sunbird GUI is a bonus.
