How bad is the 'leak' you described? If you can clearly hear the track meant for the other ear, it might affect how you experience the meditation exercises during the paraliminal recordings. If this hapens with all of the paraliminal CDs that you have tried, you might want to look into getting a new set of headphones. You don't need the highest quality, just a set that can isolate the Left and Right tracks on the recording.

Are you sure it's sound leakage and not just the 3D audio effects? I notice on many of the Paraliminals the voices are simulated to be positioned somewhere in 3D space, so often they "move" and are not strictly just on the left or right. I'm pretty sure that's intentional. You can always email info@learningstrategies.com to ask them about it. |

I read on the Learning Strategies website a while ago that Paraliminals are suitable for use by people who are deaf in one ear because you get the "echo" of one ear's program in the other. So, the "leakage" is intentional and part of the program. Enjoy. |

i think it is a leakage not the 3d audio effect because in the paraliminal memory supercharger he will tell you in the start which earpiece goes in which ear he will say "this voice should be in the left ear" and the voice is isolated in the left ear but when he says "this voice should be in the right ear" i can dominantly hear it in the right ear but when i take off the right earpiece, and repeat that part, i can also hear in the left ear piece the voice which should be only heard on the left side...is this really intentional???... is this really a big problem???...thank you for your replies...

It really is intentional, Mr. Sensation. No doubt about it. Your Paraliminal program sounds fine. In the beginning where Scheele tests the ears, the voices are isolated. Later on, there is indeed an echo which is perfectly normal.

When I was doing some of the HemiSync CDs a few years back, the portable CD player I first used had definite bleed between the left and right channels. Changing earphones didn't help, but when I switched to a different player the bleed went away. I haven't tried the Paraliminals myself yet, but checking how they sound while played on different equipment might clear up whether it's intentional or not. Fortunately it seems half the machines in my house are able to play CDs, so you should be able to find something to use for comparison. Your computer, game console, DVD player...car stereo? (though headphones might be a bottleneck there... Pres |

It's correct. The voices are audible in both ears using 3D stimulation. You would naturally hear the voices with both ears if you had conversations happening on both sides. For the people with hearing loss in one ear it makes it possible to still have the confusion effect of listening to two voices at the same time. One voice dominates each side. You might want to check the balance of your audio equipment. I know some people find the volume too loud on one side and soft on the other. Often when using the home stereo it has been balanced for surround sound however for headphones you might need to move it back to the centre. Alex |
