| When I doing a task, I will focus all my attention on that task only. Do One Thing At A Time This is the biggest principle I hope to use during the coming 2007 year. I think this is the #1 productivity principle. Thoughts? I'd like to write an article about this. Steve, I would appreciate your input because I haven't heard specifically about this from you.

| If you are going to focus all your attention on only one task at a time I definitely think that is a good plan for 2007 like you say. One thing I would do to ensure more creativity and better productivity when doing this would be to plan relatively short bursts of your attention each time you work on a particular goal. How long each period of specific focus will last for would be dependant on your own personal attention span and the time of day. In the morning after a solid nights sleep and a good breakfast your attention span would probably be twice as long as it would be in the late afternoon after a full day of activity. Cheers, John

| Seems like Zen. The whole teaching of Zen is saying that you must just do one thing at a time.

| This is something I've had trouble with. But when I really experimented with that, I find my productivity increased significantly! I just have to learn how to control my mind from drifting to the other things that needed to be done while I'm on a task.
