Default Trying Rapid Improvement

Steve's Article:
Rapid Improvement

I'm trying "his" Rapid Improvement technique:
For the next week(like a 7-day trial) I'll follow this schedule:
Shifting day schedules:
-study 3 hours(+instructors)
-no studying at all: playing games, reading Steve's articles, reading about lucid dreaming, reading LOTR book, and watching a movie at the end of the day.

Btw, it took a lot of courage to do this. It's really funny that we're not willing to sacrifice so little for so much great benefits.

I'll let you know how it goes.
Wish me fun&luck!

Hey,
I've also read that article and decided to do a little experiment. Would you mind if I joined you in this thread? I wanted to start a topic about it, but you beat me to it so I figured there would be no sense in starting two same topics.

I'll try this experiment for a month though. For the time being this is how I'll divide my days and tasks:
1. Monday - Thursday: exercising in the gym, taking salsa lessons, learning Spanish (on my own).

2. Friday - Sunday: only studying for my exams.

From Monday till Thursday I work until 5:30 or 6 p.m. so by the time I get home it's already 6:30 or 7. I've already tried studying after such long hours at work, but with poor results, as I was too 'mentally' tired to focus or memorize anything. That made me frustrated and nervous because I wouldn't get so much studying done. And it seemed I didn't have time for any other activities to recharge my batteries.
So, now I'm trying this approach: enjoying those other activities with no guilty conscience during week days and focusing completely on my studies the other 3 days (on Fridays I work till 11 a.m or 2 pm).

I'd appreciate all comments or pieces of advice.

Aleksander, I wish you luck and a lot of fun

Good luck to both of you on your projects. It will be interesting to see the results.

I'm quite immersed in my studying. Nothing special, but still above my average concentration and effort.

Can't wait to be 100% free of studying tommorow!!

Today is a day when I don't study and his given me great perspectives as of how to live, the ways of living.

As Steve said, it's good to view things from multiple perspectives, to try different things instead of clinging to one.

This practice of alternating days of 3-hours studying and no stuying really showed to me that the way I live is only one of the hundreds of ways to live I could choose today, and that dozens of them are way much better, rich and rewarding.
