Default Are You Having Enough Time In Your Life?

Time

People are always complaining about the lack of time but why is it someone always seem to have enough time for everything and you just seem to lack time for anything?

Everybody have 24 hours a day. Me, you or your neighbor next door have the same amount of time. So what is the difference?

It is about the awareness we have. Are you aware of where the time is flowing and are you putting enough effort in allocating your time into good use?

3 Powerful Ways To Help You Create That Additional Hour

1. Eliminate Task - What? I wanted to do more but you are telling me to eliminate task? Have you written something wrong, Vincent?

Yes, I wrote eliminate task and there is no mistake to it. Simple as it is, when you find that you have too much task that you need to do, just strike off some of the tasks that are relatively not important. Or if you think that it must be done no matter what, did you ever thought about delegating it to others?

Most of us are still not use to outsourcing and delegating tasks to others but they are powerful ways to help free up our time so try to get use to it soon.

2. Learn to reject - Have you ever met the Yes-Man/Woman before? They will not say no to anything and will accept whatever that were dished out to them. They will not reject their friends for outing even when he/she got an important work to submit by tomorrow or they will accept the additional workload dumped to them even when it is not under their work scope.

This is the Yes-Man/Woman, and most probably you can see them living in a rather frantic lifestyle because they are always rushing due to the lack of time and the never ending tasks that they accepted.

When you have tasks that are important and your friends ask you out for a movie, have the courage to say No. Reject them may seem to annoy them a little, but you can always ask them out again some other time. If they are your true friends, they will definitely understand your situation.

3. Have a time table - How many of you don't have a time table? Having a weekly plan definitely help you to squeeze that additional hour out of your busy schedule. By planning our week, we can slot in tasks of high importance and also this mean getting a lot more things done. By having a time table will also help to keep you off Facebook when you should be doing your work which equals to more time created for you.

Cheers

What are other time management tips that you use to create that additional hour for yourself? I would be happy to hear from you, looking forward to see your replies.

The biggest way to have more time in your life is to prioritize tasks. The truth is that if you get the biggest and most important tasks done first, there will be time for the other ones later. But if you get the little trivial tasks done first, there is no time for the big ones. It is just like if you get a pot and have to fill it with several big rocks, some smaller pebbles, and a lot of very small gravel, if you put the big rocks in first you can fit the others around it, but if you put the gravel in first, there just won't be room for all the big ones.

There are two ways of attacking this problem: be more efficient about what you are doing, or do a serious prune of the stuff that you don't really NEED to do. I'd choose the latter for the most effective gain of time.

Hi Highgrace,

By choosing to prune stuff that we don't need to do, we can really save up lots of time. Cutting down or eliminate tasks such as playing applications in Facebook will free up lots of our time.
