Well, I'm not Emily Post of course, but I tend to write a short, simple paragraph. In it I'll specifically state what I am thankful to the person for and quickly what it's meant to me. Something like this: Quote:

I agree - short handwritten notes go a long way. It's not that you pour your heart out onto paper, but that you simply express yourself in a heartfelt way... and that can be done in as little as one sentence. At work, I've written thank you notes and they go a LONG way - especially when working with somebody new. |
