Hello-

This is my first post after reading Steve's blog for 10 months. I enjoy the articles and find myself wondering into the forms often. I have decided to share with you my 30 day challenge. I am already done with day two and have no real change to speak of but will put in a full 30 days with the faith that it works and I can do it. Ready to hear about it?

1. To have a $12,500.00 pay day from my investment business by Dec. 30
2. Listen to The Strangest Secret two times a day. Once in the morning and once before bed.

As I mentioned above I am on day two of my 30 day quest. I will post every night with my progress.

I have my daily action plan on paper that I have been following that consists of 6 action items I will complete everyday. I have to admit one of them is tough and I have slacked with performance the past two days, but have made my corrections. I have also outsourced one of the daily action items, which frees up my time to focus on clients instead of marketing. I have already listen to The Strangest Secret this morning and will begin to work on my action items. Does that answer your question NorthStar?

Day 3. I have made 35 out bound sales calls and 25 emails. I have an appointment with a client tomorrow night. I listened to Earl once this morning and am going to listen to it before bed.

Part two of my goals for the next thirty days was to difficult to do plus it was not really what I want to do. It is only to keep me motivated so I have taken goal two off of the list and am working on goal one. To have a 12,500 pay day from my investment business. I have to say that I am halfway there and all I need now is a buyer. I will keep you posted.

Okay I did not connect the dots until now. I posted this goal less than 30 days ago and it has come to pass with success. Not what I was hoping for, but quite interesting to say the least. I make my money via a small real estate investing business I run. I recently closed a deal with a friend and I received a check for $1,250. The goal was $12,500 I am confused as to how to interpret this, but overall excited that the numbers are almost identical. Anyone have any answers?

Dude you didn't make the money you wanted.

The fact that the numbers are similar is only a coincidence.
But the important thing is that you were proactive and made SOME money. So keep at it right?

Just be sure you apply the 80/20 rule. Of the effort that you put out, likely 10% paid off, 10% almost did, and 80% was pointless.

I love this challenge. The Strangest Secret is amazing, Ive listened many times...but not in a daily regimen like this.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I am glad to hear you are not stopping until you reach your desired goal of $12,500.

That's WILD that your payment received was exactly 10% of your goal..Cool!!

What I especially like about your idea is that you are focusing on one teaching and one goal for an extended period of time. I just read a similar idea on TIm Ferriss' blog today:
