| Cheers, I'd like to start a thread containing your craziest 30-day trial ideas. This way, everyone could learn from each others' ideas, and possibly even implement some of them. I'll start. As you notice, I favor variety against monotonic repetition. * Practicing a different new hobby every day (I actually implemented this and had 20 new hobbies during 30 days) * Giving some kind of special attention (what?) to a different person every day * Writing a 'love letter' to a different person every day (not necessarily sent) |

| I didn't drink any beer for 30 days. Actually, it was more like 38-40ish. The only changes that I noticed were that I did not sleep as well, but I think that that was unrelated to my not having a beer two or three times a week. I also didn't run for 30 days or so. But that wasn't a 30 day test; that was something I built into my annual training plan. |

| I've thought about (but haven't implemented) living in the woods for 30 days, in a tent, and foraging for food. Need to go on a survival course first though, really. |

I went for a therapeutic massage every day for two weeks and on some days two times each day. It was really easy to both enter a meditative state and be in touch with my physical self. I found it useful. |

| I started to meditate every night before going to sleep for 30 days. In this meditation I visualized 8 goals I had set for myself. While thinking of my goals I've got so excited that I couldn't sleep anymore. Lesson learned: Do not manifest before going to sleep Peace and Prosperity Sassou

| No breathing for 30 days. Crazy enough?

| LOL! Why is that? What does the moon cycle do to improve my ability to stick with something for 30 days? |

| Thirty day trial: Use physical symbols when focusing my mind on what I want. Example: Before writing a blog post, make some paper dolls and set them on my desk as an audience, so that I have a real, physical audience, even if they can't critique my work.

| Not sure how crazy you'll find it but I was implementing a few 30-day trials together and for one of them I decided to drink 2-liter of water on a daily basis. It's not as hard as it sounds if you start early in the morning. But, if you go half the day without drinking and have to play catch up, it's not that fun! =)

I used to chat on IM for hours back when I was in college, but then one day I realized just how much time I was wasting and decided to get rid of the habit. Life became way, way more productive! |

| I did something similar for a year, but even I was using modern ball-point pens rather than a quill, and writing on paper, rather than velum or papyrus. Also, if you are living in the woods, a flashlight can definitely be useful, rather than a lantern/candle/reed torch. I also used matches to keep the woodstove going, although I could have used flint/steel or a fire bow. |

| How bout a 30 day media fast? Basically - no TV, radio, newspapers, internet, for 30 days. Instead, read positive books, spend time with your family, spend time enjoying nature and its brilliance. Personally I haven't done it myself, however I really don't watch a ton of TV anymore - sports on occasion, I never listen to the radio, and haven't tuned into to a news broadcast in quite a while. I feel that my life has been enhanced because of it. I used to be a CNN (Constant Negative News |
