Default Procrastination Quote A Day

I want to offer a procrastination quote a day to serve as motivation for those of us who struggle with this habit. I hope you find encouragement from them.
Here is today's quote:

"Every duty which is bidden to wait returns with seven fresh duties at its back." ~Charles Kingsley

If reading inspirational quotes motivate you, and even worse, if you are building your motivation from anything outside yourself, then you haven't found true motivation.

Why the hell else would I come to this website? Feeling blue, down, or whatever, this site picks me up. Especially on a Monday morning!

Stole this one from someone here: "To get something you never had, you'll have to do something you've never done."

But everything is me - there is nothing outside of myself. I am a part of everything; everything is part of me. Both and the same, all at once.

See if you can grok that for a bit.

Thanks for sharing . I myself always tell myself "every step I take, brings me closer to success." This is what kept me going and getting things done.

Default Eat That Frog

"'Eat that frog' - Steven Covey, imagine if everyday you had to eat a frog (metaphor for the task that is important which you procrastinate to do). Scenario 1: If you procrastinate then your frog will haunt you throughout your day and you will not complete your other tasks with much enthusiasm and satisfaction.
Scenario2: If you do eat your frog first, you will have a certain surge of energy and enthusiasm thourghout the day. Also the other tasks will be completed in a better state of mind, satisfaction and less erroneous."

I did this today. I ate my frog around 6:30 in the morning (a difficult telephonic business discussion with a person living in a country where it was mid day). The result is: somehow, all my other works/tasks for the day are going very smoothly.

I first heard about that through Brain Tracy's Eat That Frog! 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done . I think he said he got it from Mark Twain.

Yes! you are right, it was indeed Brian Tracy and not Steven Covey who I was quoting. Thanks for the correction.

Haha, true.
So here's a cluster of quotes for you.

Believe while others are doubting
Plan while others are playing
Study while others are sleeping
Decide while others are delaying
Prepare while others are daydreaming
Begin while others are procrastinating
Work while others are wishing
Save while others are spending
Listen while others are talking
Smile while others are pouting
Comment while others are criticizing
Persist while others are quitting.
