Hi Guys. I hope you all had a great weekend. As I mentioned in another threat, I am making a real effort to better myself and decided to start visualising again. So I get up early this morning to start and I found I was having a real tough time focusing and visualising myself being successfull, driving a nice car, being the best salesman I can be, being happy etc. Im not being to tough on myself as its the first time in a long time since I have visualised. I could only manage 10min this morning. I am going to do this twice a day. Does anyone have the same problems? Do you guys have any advice on how to improve? |

Hi, I know what you mean. In Esther & Jerry Hicks' book Ask And It Is Given we are recommended to ask for things that seem a logical next step to us. So instead of visualising yourself in a nice suit, go for a shirt and shiny shoes. Instead of moving to the best apartment in town, imagine moving to a place with just one roommate. Instead of winning the lottery, imagine finding a job. And start building from there, always improvements on your current situation. Hope that helps, FutureTimeTraveler |

I have a hard time but I have learned that if I stick with a change in thought processes, even if difficult at first, that over time the changes become substantial. I have read that it can help to start on small things until you see it work and then apply it to larger and more ambitious acts. Confidence is a significant part of this. |

Seeker, yes i believe what you are saying is true. I too have this idea of what "I think I want" as opposed to what "moves" me. I must admit that what "moves" me is constantly changing all the time. Because when I reach that goal and it is not what I thought it would be I move to something different. However, I have not reached a goal in a looooong time because I am constantly giving up which an entire different post, but now I am pressing on and moving towards my goals and not giving up (my biggest problem). Does this make sense? |
