Default Everyone have dreams to be successful, BUT do your beliefs support your dreams?

The Power Of Beliefs

Why is it some people can achieve more than others in their life?

It is because the beliefs that they have for themselves gave them the extraordinary strength to achieve extraordinary things. It is our beliefs that gave us our expectations and the expectations will define your reality.

If you expect yourself to be earning $2000 per month, when you reach the $2000 mark, you will feel satisfied and stop there. What if your expectation is earning $10,000 per month? Do you think you will feel satisfied when you are earning $2000 per month but your expectation is earning $10,000 per month?

You probably won't be satisfied because you think that you are worth more than $2000 per month because you have higher expectations.

Whenever you have the belief that something is possible, you will go out and take action in order to achieve it. Which is to say, when you have great beliefs and high expectations on yourself, you can tap more into your potential power.

What If you believe that something is impossible?

If you do not expect yourself to succeed in doing something, will you try your best to achieve it?

No. The potential to achieve is cut drastically whenever we think it is impossible to achieve because we will not put in our best effort in doing something that we thought is impossible.

How Powerful Are Our Beliefs?

Have you heard about placebo effects? Research had shown that patients who are given drugs which have no medicinal properties, miraculously recover because they believe that the drugs they are given can cure them.

The strong beliefs that the drugs are useful can even help to change our bio chemistry. How strong our beliefs can be?

Our Beliefs Are Not True!

"Whether or not you believe you can or you believe you can't, either way you are right."
Henry Ford

Why are our beliefs not 100% true? Because we can change our beliefs easily and it is only when we believe it, it will become totally true. This means that our beliefs become our reality when we believe it.

This is a great piece of information because we know that we can change our negative beliefs into a positive one if we want to.

Let me give you some examples of the beliefs of some famous people that are wrong.

"There is no need for any computer to have more than 250k of RAM." Bill Gates

"Television won't be able to hold on to any captive audience after 6 months. People will soon get tired starring at a plywood box every night."
Darryl F.Zanuck, Head of 20th Century Fox Movies,1946

"Man will never reach the moon regardless of all future scientific advances"
Dr. Lee De Forest, Father of Radio

Change Your Limiting Beliefs

Have you met the situation when you believe that you are not good at something or believe that you can't achieve your dreams because it is too far fetch?

I had showed you that beliefs are not necessary true, so why don't you replace your limiting beliefs now to guide yourself to success?

Cheers

My problem is not my own limiting beliefs. I always start a project with 100% enthusiasm. The trouble is I take way too much notice of other people. People who doubt my ability to acheive my goals, people who question every thing I do. You know the type: "You'll never be able to earn a living building pc's" "I can't imagine you ever doing anything other than lorry driving".

On the one hand I get angry with them and they make me even more determined to acheive, but then, at the first setback, My self-doubt, coupled with all their "I told you so's" make me lose faith.

I need to find a way to block out all the doubters but I've yet to find it.

ydnab40,

You don't really need to block out other people's opinions. It is that you give those opinions power over your. It still comes back to your belief system. What beliefs do you have that say- what other people think matters to you creating the life you desire? If you were going to make a sandwich and everyone told you how crazy you were, you can't make a sandwich would that stop you??? I would guess not. You would know how silly those other people are. You could look into your beliefs about success, other peoples opinions, self-esteem, etc... Maybe you use what other people are saying as a scapegoat, so you don't have to follow through with something that would bring you joy or success.

Here is a page I put together on self-esteem, it has some powerful quotes that may help.

Hi ydnab40,

Everybody had their share of setbacks and failures. It is only those who can see those failures as feedback, change and try again will succeed.

Do not start to believe them as you will make it a reality. See what you are doing wrong, change it and have a go at it again.

I am currently facing the same challenges as you, nobody believe that I can make a living out of blogging and I am still moving forward going to prove them wrong. I had my set backs but I chose to dwell in the optimism and make the effort to keep tweaking my strategies.

I hope you can prove them wrong and keep on going.

Cheers
