Default How Do You Adjust To Different Professor Styles?

I have been thinking a little bit lately about how one can be a good student who maintains their consistency of style throughout university classes and professors, but manages to tweak their process of learning/classroom participation/professor interaction based off the different situations.

I have a prof coming up for winter term who is said to be a) extremely intelligent; an expert in her field and b) crazy.

How do you change your style to gel best with the prof, but not take away from or change yourself?

Any advice for a prof who is said to be assertively almost agressive; uncaring of feelings; genius; etc.?

I know she's smart and cares about the material, but how do I approach learning in this class?

I learned that asking people who took the class before and did well is quite possibly the best way to get through college with high grades

Remember what your goal is (i.e to get through that class with a good grade) and then ignore all the extra hoopla this teacher tries to pull.

Lots of professors are just there to do research but they are required to teach a class and they aren't happy about it. So make her life easier and she'll make yours easier

Ofcourse you're going to have to adapt to different situations. I don't understand why you said:

That is the key to success I think. To be able to quickly adapt and change your self to properly meet all challenges and external stimuli.

In my experience, all professors are crazy :O.
