Default A PhD in Sexual Energy

Hey all. I have a question about something that has been discussed here before. It relates to the area of sexual transmutation. Basically, what I'm trying to get a handle on is what someone can do to gain more control over sexual energy. IOW, how can I give myself the equivalent of a PhD in mastering sexual energy.

For a good chunk of my life I've felt that getting rid of sexual energy was the solution. I felt like it was this burden hanging over me that was distracting me from my true purpose in life.

After reading Napoleon Hill and many of the articles written on sexual transmutation and thinking about the lives of many of my heroes like MLK, JFK, Clinton, etc. who possess or possessed strong sex drives, I now realize that I have the potential to achieve my dreams because of, not in spite of, my strong sex drive.

The biggest question for me is how to properly channel this. When my sexual urges get too strong I often feel like I can't concentrate. Also, anxiety which I experience from time to time is worst, it seems, when sexual tension is higher. On the other hand, I also feel more alive and vital when my sexual energy is strong. I think my creativity is definitely heightened.

So I'm trying to figure out how to best master this energy. Do I actively cultivate sexual energy (e.g., by putting myself in situations where I'm surrounded by beautiful women) as means to enhance creativity? That seems to work up until a point where I'm "over the edge" and ineffective because all I can think about sex until the urge is handled.

I think sexual energy is probably one of the most underrated aspect of personal development and this seems like a great place to discuss the topic. I know there is some good stuff out there such as books by Mantak Chia and Chi Gong. I've experimented with some of this stuff so far but found it to be very subtle and somewhat ineffective compared with very strong sexual urges. Maybe I just need to be patient and more disciplined in my approach.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!

Serious question: how do you know that Mantak Chia's books are any good?

If you experienced any effect at all, would you assume it must be a positive effect? Because that is a very common and very dangerous assumption.

I don't know that Mantak's books specifically are good. Just that many people recommend them and say they have benefited from them. For me, the exercises don't seem to have a very profound effect. Perhaps it's a case of different strokes for different folks.

Not quite sure I follow this...

Chi Gong can injure your health as surely as it can improve it. A regular doctor will not necessarily understand what went wrong or how to fix it. My objective is not to scare you but to caution you. If you believe every testimonial on the Internet, may as well drop Mantak Chia and pick up The Secret instead.

I do appreciate this but it's fairly cryptic. Or maybe that's the point.

This is a general response to everyone.

I think there's lots of fear surrounding the idea of chi gong and other such country-specific disciplines. It's a good way of having them not spread, and requiring you to "be taught by the source", lest you fall prone to hidden dangers. Oooooh!

On a serious note, though, it's logical to see that anything that involves energy manipulation could potentially benefit and also harm you. If you can produce positive effects, you must also be able to create harmful effects.

It's more of a thing to keep in mind than something that should scare you away. What's tricky about subjects like this is that they're pretty uncommon, so there's no real standard body of knowledge about safe practice.

E.g. Sky diving can be life threatening, but it can also be fun and a positive experience if you do it safely.

The question is: do you know how to do chi gung safely?

Uncommon practices are also pretty abstract (e.g. sky diving is much easier to mentally grasp and reasonably predict the outcomes and get a sense of the dangers and logical extremes of certain decisions when you compare it to something like chi gung, which you know not that much about), so it's hard to know what you're really getting into. Emotion and enthusiasm can quickly cloud your reason and judgement.

When there is risk involved, don't just instantly believe someone. Use your intelligence. Also, decide what you are indeed willing to risk, and let that guide your decisions. I've learned that with any experimentation, you have to put a certain amount of yourself on the line. What happens to that part is largely hard to know until you roll the dice, so if you're not prepared to accept that, don't step up to the table.

Perhaps read the sample chapter of Steve's book. It goes over some intelligent ways to make decisions, and how to deal with all the various factors involved. He even talks about both the potential benefits and dangers of various methods. That should help in this area.

Exclamation The art of Sexual Transmutation

The question of how to live with sexual desire and intense sexual energy is one that humans have always grappled with, and some have found profound solutions that transcend simplistic remedies such as repression, shame, abstinence, or hyper-self-control. Hiding from desire won’t make it go away because it is an inherent part of being human. Sexual desire comes from instinct… why fight something that has helped us survive for thousands of years.
The skill of using sexual transmutation involves the power of the mind and tapping into the subconscious mind. Napoleon outlines the power of the subconscious in Think and Grow Rich and combining all his principles, sexual transmutation can become an effective and powerful tool in our life.
Balancing our sexual energy comes from gratitude and humility. We want to surround ourself with beautiful people, walking around in a turned on state can empower us and energise us if managed from a perspective of humility and gratitude. Our emotions of lack and I want that (desire) bring us frustration. A very simple exercise in turning frustration into joy is allowing your self to enjoy “perving” from a different perspective. It is an attitude of gratitude.

Learning to appreciate the site of a beautiful person can stimulate your sexual energy. There is a big difference though, between lusting them and appreciating them. Lust will dis-empower your sexual energy. Gratitude and appreciation will empower your own sexual energy. Let go of the lack of mentality. Hold the vision of someone in your mind that ‘turns you on’ or that you love, and this thought alone can boost your energy levels.

To have and enjoy a high sex drive is a blessing, learn to enjoy your energy. I have written much more about the subject in my blog: Sexual Transmutation
Good luck in searching for your PHD. I have made sexual Transmutation my passion, my business and my life. Yasmin
