Default Work/Love Work Balance

Dear forummers,

I've seen a lot of stuff written about work life balance, but what about work and love work balance?

Many of us, myself included, are working at day jobs where the work itself simply isn't very inspiring. How do we go about finding ways to contribute?

I'm experimenting right now with getting up an hour earlier on weekdays to do work that I find meaningful, and so far it has helped me feel that I am dedicated to my own purpose above all. But I find own attention wandering sometimes during the day towards the contribution I want to make, and I feel that it's inappropriate, although it's very difficult staying focused on my offical day job.

Turn your work into a game.

Look for something, a skill you must learn, on a personal level.
For example, learn to be persistent, learn to focus.
It has to be a skill you need to achieve your dreams.
