| Hey good people. I want to free up the creative juices. I want to write fiction but the ideas won’t come. Will a mantra work for this? Which one? How frequently? Etc. Thanks

| I think that you probably mean a mantra that is like an affirmation, but what works well for me is a popular Sanscrit mantra: Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha! It is in reverence to the diety Ganesh, and it is for removing obstacles. It should be repeated 108 times, a minimum of once a day for at least 40 consecutive days. Because you are working specifically on increasing creativity, you should try to focus on this (removing blockages to your creative expression) while reciting the mantra out loud or silently. When you complete your 108 repetitions give a thank-you to Lord Ganesh. These words are extremely powerful and will bring about rather dramatic positive results. You should be prepared for the possibility of some emotionally tumultuous feelings as blockages are removed and kundalini (as well as other) energies are opened. Just keep repeating the mantra every day, stick with it and have faith that it will work! Keeping count with a mala is helpful, although not necessary, and hearing the mantra on Youtube might be useful for the pronounciation. There are many versions but my favorite is Ganesha mantra to African drums from holographicmind. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I hope it helps! |

| Sounds good! Thanks. My only question would be about thinking of "removing blockages", as the mind cannnot focus on the opposite of an idea. The mind cannot perceive of taking something away. And if you can't see it, it can't happen. I'll need to create a positive image.

| Ah! I see what you mean, then don't focus on the blockage, focus on the flowing of ideas. I still firmly believe that the process will work if you give it a chance... try not to think of all the reasons that it won't work, but believe in the fact that it has been successful for many others. |
