Javed, That's a very comprehensive post on your strategy - thx for making it available. I guess you align pretty well with Brian Tracy's words: "Success equals goals and all else is commentary." Small repetitive actions over time can add up to big changes and achievements. Out of interest, how do you adjust your planning if certain goals are not being met? Do you ever drop goals for whatever reason? |

I have not read the specific statment of Brian Tracy that you have quoted. But I fully agree. I belive when he says goals, he means goals backed by plan and action. Quote:
Now, I seldong drop a goal. The very reason is that my goals are well thought out and most importatntly, align with my vision/purpose of life.. Re-scheduling and adjusting planning is, however, not unusal for me. The reason is very simple. Everything does not happen the way I plan and new opportunities always come up. So I remain flexible. How I adjust my planning? The process is principally the same as I have discussed in the article for small tasks. If I am unable to complete a daily task or weekly tasks or quaterly action, it moves to next time bracket or delayed for longer duration, if there is time critical new opportunity that aligns more with my compass. Exercise integrity in moment of choice/decision. Stephen Covey. Am I promoting Stephen Covey too much??
