Default Fear of Time: Worse than Fear Of Success Or Failure

I've discovered a hidden fear in a lot of people I've met, talked with, and coached over the years.

It's a fear worse than "fear of failure" or "fear of success", yet often masks itself as such.

Its the fear of not knowing what to do with gobs of unstructured time.

I firmly believe that if more people honestly tackled their goals with rigor and fervor more often, they would realize the frighteningly obvious:

There would very quickly be nothing left to do.

Anyone who is deep in personal development will tell you that it is very much possible, and even inevitable and likely, that one can increase the rate at which goals are completed dramatically over time.

Which means that fewer and fewer goals become long term, so you either have to think of something much larger and grander and broader to do, or face the realization that you have no idea what's next.

If this is a cause of procrastination for you, raise your hand, and I'll help you eradicate it right now.

Go.

Work on becoming a better person, removing all the fears, irritations, jealousies etc. That'll take atleast a few decades, if not a lifetime.

Hmm, yeah I can see your point.
I have been very demotivated by the prospect of huge projects though. So I have the ideas for those grand goals you say people need to come up with, but I have been avoiding them by procrastinating on everything.

I am not clear about exactly what my fears are, but they have cost me a lot of development time. One thing I know I have feared is to waste time going down the wrong path, which is very silly since that fear causes me to lose time by not moving at all.
