Good luck! I wouldn't recommend shaving your head if you fail, you've set the bar pretty high. I'd shave a friends head if you accomplish all your goals! :P

How do you define failing? If one day you only leave your bed at 6 am does that mean the whole experiment has failed?

I shaved my head finally.. | Day 0. Olympic of 31 days (8/8/8 to 8/9/8) .. Making System.. I am going to make system of winning for next 30 days based upon my failures and successes so far... Here is my system : Main Idea behind this experiment: The brain learns either through habituation or through massive action. Main strategy: One foot in front of the other. One thing at a time. One thought at a time. Living one moment at a time. Miraculous Mantra: If I can make it a minute, I can make it an hour If I can make in an hour, I can make it a day If I can make it a day, I can make it a week If I can make it a week, I can make it a month If I can make it month, I can make it forever My Motto: Higher, Faster, Stronger day by day in everything.. My daily ritual: At the end of day write diary and burn small piece paper written on it "My Old Self". For saving time do following things: No TV, No unnecessary Internet, No online chatting up to 8/9/8 . • During lower energy levels do following: 1. No matter what avoid negative thinking 2. Affirmations 3. Visualization 4. Read loudly purpose of life and values 5. Remember Ideals and Role Models 6. Praying ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am God's Property my success is ASSURED. |
| |||
|
Yeah I don't quite understand... It sounds like you set a gigantic list of goals with no flexibility, did rather well for a while (doing those ten things for a week is quite impressive, IMHO) then you're starting all over again with an even harder version. Why so aggressive?
|
| |||
|
I was totally inspired that you managed to keep it up for a week, shivraj! Since you're attempting this again, would you not consider a less "cut-throat" attitude for attaining your goals? How about 3-5 core goals you should achieve every day, and then looking to tick maybe 50%-75% of remaining subsidiary goals? Be encouraged by progress and success, rather than fear of failure and self-punishment! Surely this staggered approach would be more encouraging, rather than setting yourself up for miliataristic regime?!

Doing 10 30-day trials at the same time is like trying to juggle 10 balls. Usually you end up dropping all of them. I recommend 3-4 items max... and even then only if they're mutually supportive, such as diet and exercise changes. Better to achieve one new habit and lock it in than end up dropping all of them. Going 30 days with one new habit is a MAJOR accomplishment.
