Hello everyone, Trying to find my place within society. Dropped out of university because i didn't resonate with all the conceptual knowledge and not being allowed to think outside the box. 24 years old. Trying to find a job of some sort. Went to a practise job for 3 months but was too slow among other things and didn't get to work there. When it comes to practical work i have an exceptional long learning curve, great difficulty in understanding even quite simple instructions and i'm also very, very slow at doing things. When people are stressed or annoyed (doesn't have to be at me) i get very negatively effected. I also get very absent-minded and insecure (leading to mistakes) if i get stressed and don't know what to do. All jobs seem to highlight the attributes i lack as very important (i only seek jobs that doesn't require education). I do also possess some talents. I'm an exceptional writer (in swedish), very creative, great at abstract thinking, psychology and philosophy. Get very easily into altered states of consciousness (bliss/ecstasy, emptiness, non-duality, trances, ego death). I have chi recognition (don't know how good chi recognition compared to others) and can feel chi all the time. Feels like a strong magnetic feeling, going in wave-like streams through my body. This has given awareness of all my chakras. I can also feel the auras of other people, even from any distance, and effect it (especially if i know the person or got a photo). As you can see i am in a difficult situation. What i am good at is not relevant to ANY jobs (and would even be considered weird if i mentioned it, except maybe the writing and creativity). Everything i am bad at is usually highlighted in CAPS in want ads as requirements. I am at complete loss about what do to. I feel like a lone screwdriver in a world that only want hammers. Should i try to reshape myself into a hammer? What i feel from my heart is that i passionately want to help people in their spiritual development. But there are no such jobs ever advertised. So here i am. Stuck in life... |

I would try being a psychic. If you have good skills like that, try to suceed in that. Take Steve's lastest blog (make a dollar doing something you love) and Erin's success as a psychic and morph the two into something that could work for you!

Believe it or not, these services are widespread enough to be tracked in the U.S. as part of the economy. Astrology, palm reading, psychic services, etc. are in a group with other personal services including personal shopper, personal trainer, and singing telegrams. 812990 All Other Personal Services Altogether, in 2002 (the most recent economic survey) this category had over 36,000 U.S. employees in over 4,500 different establishments nationwide. Granted that this category doesn't let you see how many of these services are spiritual/psychic and how many are not, it still shows that there may be more opportunities than you realize. With your existing skills, you might be able to add business skills to be a freelance self-employed person. You might be able to sell articles to publications, or to provide one on one psychic sessions for $100. Another area that might work well is for you to get trained in a holistic energy healing discipline such as yoga, massage, or acupuncture. This might require student loans and a two or three year course of study, but you'd wind up with a recognized degree and standard job title. | |

The Large Dude Scam, your answer is in your question. Please read your topic twice or more, think again about your strengths and abilities, imagine them in real life, how you are doing it. Any advices from others will be hopeless if you don't believe it, that you could do it. Also use a method by Steve (How to Discover Your Life Purpose in About 20 Minutes), it may help. Good luck. |
