Lets say your goal is to earn $5000 and lose 20 lbs by the end of the year. How should one write it down? Should it be written down in the present tense; "I earn $5000 by the end of the year" "I lose 20lbs by December" Or should it be written down like as if you were writing down a request to the universe (using LOA); "I want to earn $5000" "I want to lose 20lbs" Also would it be much more beneficial to write down why you want to achieve those goals?

I have been listen to an audio set that is very interesting, and in this he says you write down the goal as if you were standing there on the day and how you will know you have acheived it. ie It is December 30th 2008 and I am looking at my bank balance and I have $5000 cash at bank or It is December 1st and I have just completed a fun run. I look down at my flat stomach and feel proud of myself. I havent actually tried this yet and wether it only works in if you follow all the instructions in his whole set or not I do not know but it is a different method. And he says when you visualise visualise feelings, sights, sounds, smells, touch.

Hi This topic is a favourite of mine... There's a particular way of writing goals that is more effective in ensuring that you will successfully achieve them. The techniques I use and teach my clients have been developed over many years of studying goal achieving programs. These techniques work for any goal and for any person... regardless of your background, education or age Some of the essential ingredients include: writing goals in the present tense; describing them in as much detail as you can ; writing them as if you have already achieved them; breaking them down into manageable steps... and and a few other things. If you'd like to know more... feel free to contact me. Jeanne
