Post My Selfhelp Thread

Hi

First of all let me introduce myself.

I am an 24 years old man from Norway, actually I am 25 years now. Another year went by, with me feeling that I haven't moved at all and that I haven't improved at all. I have a bachelor degree economics and at present time working with logistics. After another year of work I aim for my Masters degree.

This thread is to keep track of my progress and perhaps help others get motivated by showing success at selfhelp ;-).

So how to know if Im doing good?
Here are my KSF(Key success factors)
A.) Taking consistent action: Being able to try an idea for self help for a longer period then 3 days. I am very sporadic and rarely keep a rutine.
B.) Getting out of bed at a regular time and getting into bed earlier
C.) Getting a good work habit
D.) Start training in the morning before work instead of late at night.

Step 1:
To improve both point A.), B.) and C.) my first goal will be consistenly write on this forum.

Wish me good luck

Default Day 1

Due to drinking and socializing with my fellow employees to late in the night I had a crap day at work. Where I was generally lazy and unfocused. Didn't get to work out yesterday because I drank instead.

But I wrote here today which is good!
And Im going to work out later in the day when the alchohol has left my body and the workout wont destroy my muscle tissue.

Can I ask what your big goal is? You mentioned the criteria for success, but what success are you going for?

Good luck

Hi :-)

Thank you, ofc my big goal should be stated.

My goal is to become the person I should be.
I want to become productive. I am a big believer in effectiveness creates happiness. By getting more done early in the day. Doing it in a short time and not hesitating to do the chores will give me more time for leisure and a clear concience(?).

So my ultimate goal is someone who takes action right away! not dragging himself through with a lot of wasted time.

I found out that im more likely to be productive if i have a good start in the day. Thats why the workout in the morning to activate the body.

And also to implement changes in my personality consciensly.

Lot of typos ;-)

Add that to your goal list. Be a more typo-free person. Kidding! Welcome!

Thx Vamoh

These last two days I have found at that even when I can't go to the gym. My body refuses to go since its want sleep more.

Im doing a few very easygoing excersises in the morning and that get my blood flowing. By being more activ I have skimmed 10-30 min of my morning rutines.

Great discovery!

All i do in move my core body and neck around. And a little sun salute(Yoga).
After that I do some Situps.

I dont do it so hard I get very tired because iknow if i do this i would be liable to sleep again.

I suggest you use the law of attraction. There are some threads on steve's website which are simple and effective in teaching you how to use it. Seriously, its not half as complicated as all the self-help industry makes it out to be. Just get the basics right by getting into alpha (relaxed), set an intention, visualize, let it float around for a few minutes, and then do this consistently.

Instead of spamming this site with daily updates I think ill do a weekly update. It is harder to keep it a habit that way but it will be a challenge, and challenges are fun :-).

Last week my goal was to improve my morning rutines.
How did it go?

Well,
1. When I get up even if im not doing a short excersice I am more alive.
2. I have moved my bed in front of the window. Every night I open the shaders so far that when I wake up I have sun directly on my face and body. Great way to want to get up.
3. My spirits is much better. I have bought several objects that will help me achieve my goals. Today I learned another 5 Russian words by reading and memorizing while waking up.
* If it wasn't for the heavy rain keeping me up late at night then i believe i aslo would have gone to the gym this morning.
4. Last week I have done some heavy cleaning in my apartment getting rid of major clutter. I am not done yet but almost there.

Cheerio

Default Week 28

Body:
I went to the gym 4 times total where I trained on normal intesity. No kardio workout beside bicycling to and from work every day(15 min trip one way).

Morning routine:
Went bananas with my workout in the mornings. I'll try and pick this up. Feel I don't get it done because my floor is messy atm.
But I have gotten better at doing all my morning hygiene routine at the same time(showering, brushing teeth, deodarant etc.) so that it don't get spaced out over time in the morning. That way it all get done.

Learning:
Tried sitting down in the weekend learning some more Russian. Ended up with doing only 30 min reading.

overall my week was a 4/10 in my own opinion.
