It is possible. Bruce McConkie did it; he was an extreme scriptural expert. It didn't do him much good, in my opinion, as he was quite a jerk and said and did some stupid things in spite of being a walking biblical encyclopedia. What are you hoping to accomplish by doing this? Which version and language of the bible would you use, since memorizing it in any language besides Greek and Aramaic (the original languages of the bible) would give you a very different understanding of it than what the original authors had - Aramaic includes aspects like meters, chiasmus, and other things that are completely lost in translation. "And He will write His laws in their hearts..." Memorizing the bible only gets you started: it is when you live the truths that they become ingrained in your heart. The simple spiritual instructions are to be that Love, not a parrot. When you live naturally attuned to the universes' ideals, there is no need for "cramming for an exam": you become Christed...heart-guided. |
