Default Brainwashing myself... anyone else?

I'm always looking for ways to brainwash or condition my thinking and behaviors. Does anyone know of any tools you can buy (or get for free) that work, aside from cd's, subliminals, and hypnosis?

I found this thing that flashes positive affirmations on my computer screen while I'm at work which is pretty cool. It's called mindzoom. Here's the link. People make fun of me a little at work, but they really think it's cool that I'm always working to improve myself. Does it work? I have no idea.

I've heard that puzzles are good for the brain circuits.
Do the crosswords in newspapers, or that sudoku thing.

It's hard to think of something along these lines that isn't cd's, subliminals, or hypnosis - audio that you listen to while meditating...

What do you what condition your thinking and behaviors to do?

neurobics. Maybe google that term and see what kind of software might be out there. I have a book on the topic that talks about doing things like brushing your teeth with your other hand or driving your commute a different route. It's all to keep from being in a rut and letting your brain be exposed to variety such that new brain circuits are built or the circuits are more flexible.

/shrug I find it a shortcut and I don't know that you'll have the full benefit later on. I think I mentioned this in the other thread. Think of it this way. Would you rather instantly get a particular conditioning or gain the skill so that you can build up the habit? I'll take discipline over a quick fix any time.

I'm merely looking to see if there's anything out there that's new. It's supposed to be a fun thread. I'm not trying to pinpoint one thing, but I guess you could say I'm looking for stuff that can positively reinforce motivated thinking or daily routines and habits. It just seems there's room for invention with all the technology coming out.

Aah ok. I suppose I'm just too used to people I know taking the easy way out. Out of curiosity what do you think the benefits to brainwashing are? Now for the harder question what do you think the disadvantages to brainwashing are?

If you do it yourself and you decide all of the parameters, then you're just training your brain. Take your brain to obedience school!

Very cool, but I was looking for software or technology just because it's really interesting and I don't know everything that's out there.

Well, Paul Scheele's Clear Mind, Bright Future is software that leads you through the process of goal setting, finding purpose, and finding values. Simple and effective.

Why don't you try the Mind WorkStation - it's fun to be able to create your own brain entrainment tracks. That's technology for you. Embed brainwave entrainment into music, their sounds, your own sounds, and more. You can even go professional if you pay for the commercial license.

In line with brain entrainment, try LED entrainment glasses. If you want to increase intelligence, alertness, or cognition, I recommend red LED glasses and using square wave photic stimulation If you learn about entrainment, you'll know what that means. If you want to increase relaxation, meditation, sleep, or something along those lines, get Blue LED glasses and use sine wave stimulation.

You could merge entrainment stuff with your own hypnosis scripts, reminders to remain present during meditation, or even auto-suggestion.

Wait, what's that? You want more?

See if that stuff works for you. I can't think of any more technology, unless you want exercise and workout equipment.
